9.6% is very good for TV asahi. it's not as big as NTV, fuji, or TBS, so the rating isn't so bad :yes poor aiba does deserve higher, though.

ANYWAY, my girl really isn't so bad, irene :yes i mean, aiba never had much acting experience, right? so i really do think he did okay for the first episode and he has potential to be better, i think. i really am not speaking like this because i'm biased, lol. i'm speaking generally. i hope people give aiba a break and enjoy the drama. hopefully it'll be better throughout the next few episodes. but WHERE ARE THE SUBS?! :scry

my younger sister has seen the 1st episode without subs . She said that it's boring in the beginning but gradually things built up from there

Actually of those, NTV is considered the "smallest" network and TV Asahi is one of the largest. :) But, yeah, for the timeslot its not bad at all. From what I understand it is on par with all the other dramas that have aired in that slot before.

Enjoy, it is one of my very favorites. :) Can't believe there is a whole nother month to wait before season 2!

And about the new song: Finally something more original sounding! And yay for the return of Sakurap! That part sounded amazing and the darn file cuts off too soon!
