i think do it again it's overrated, pv made it better to me. it's annoying while listening more than once. But i still think the bridge it's incredible, too bad ONLY a bridge.

Like what deli said, if we are happy watching a panda doing it's thing, i don't like having the panda waving at me just because it know that i'm watching it. (>_<)
please ayu, i know you love everyone, but please don't trying to please us by putting some english, it feels weird.. i thought my nightmare with RAINBOW album was over, but no.... i almost scream when i kept hearing the neverending 'dance dance dance...sing sing sing....'

Not dissing your opinion or anything but I just had to add my thoughts on this:

What I normally see in J-pop is artists adding random Engrish words to their songs and titles no matter if they make sense or not, just for the sake of sounding cool. I have never associated this trend with Ayu. Just about every time there's an English lyric in her song like in Heartplace, Like a doll, or Microphone, it's an important phrase, something meaningful that adds power and depth to her songs. Yes, the words probably would have the same effect in Japanese but they probably didn't sound right to her ears. You can argue about EneRgize but that wasn't meant to a serious song anyway. If she made this into a habit then maybe you'd have a point but the majority of her songs are still in total Japanese because of course, she's said that's the language she best expresses herself in. So sorry, I cannot believe she just puts "random" English words just for the sake of it or to please anybody else. When she decides to use English, I firmly believe it's because she feels those particular lines needed to be to get her point across.

Btw, I really don't understand what's the problem with the Ayu having English in her songs when the girl barely has a handful of song titles in Japanese? Can someone explain that to me? :shakehead

I think what seperates ayu from other jpop artists is the fact that she can speak english pretty well.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 23rd December 2010 09:26 PM

^hikki, ckay, jamosa, and beni can all speak english better than ayu.

lumieregrl 23rd December 2010 09:33 PM

I'm just glad she doesn't use English like Tommy Heavenly6/February6 where it makes very little sense at all. o.O I think Ayu knows what she is doing...

jimex289 23rd December 2010 09:59 PM

Haven't really been following her lately, but I just received the special edition of the new album and it's WTF HUGE LOL. Now I know I spent my money wisely.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 23rd December 2010 10:11 PM

Kazeyomi 23rd December 2010 10:37 PM

But the difference is, that English is Hikki's native language and Crystal Kay as well as BENI (I don't know for Jamosa) have one parent who's native language is Englisch and Ayu had to learn on her own.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 23rd December 2010 11:08 PM

^^Well, that you're right about.
