Ohno Satoshi reveals his Arashi groupmates rejected his gifts at ‘Kaibutsu-kun’ pre-screening

On October 13th, Arashi’s Ohno Satoshi attended the pre-screening event for his upcoming movie “Kaibutsu-kun“. As reported previously, the movie will take place in India, and it follows the story of Kaibutsu-kun and his entourage’s adventures in the “Curry Kingdom.”

The event drew 1,700 fans, and Ohno rode on a big elephant to play up the theme of an exotic adventure. During the MC session, Ohno revealed that he bought Gandhi ornaments in India as a souvenir for the other Arashi members, but unfortunately, all the members told him they didn’t want it.

Aside from Ohno, Yashima Norito, Ueshima Ryuhei, Matsuoka Masahiro, Kawashima Umika, Hamada Tatsuomi, and Inamori Izumi showed up in their costumes from the movie, and the original author, Fujiko Fujio A, appeared at the pre screening as well. Korean MMA Fighter Choi Hong Man, who appears in the movie as “Franken”, did not attend the pre-screening due to his recent scandal.

“Kaibutsu-kun” is scheduled to be released on November 26th in both 2D and 3D.

Mhm...that's really odd. I really wonder why the other four didn't want to take the gifs.
That's a bit rude...! :rolleyes

Beauty4123 15th October 2011 06:00 PM

maybe they were just being humble? like you know when someone gives you a gift or something, you feel like you don't deserve it, so your like "oh no, that's okay! you really didn't have to!" i dunno, that's just what i think, lol. :P but i'm sure the boys had a good reason.

PV preview for Meikyuu Love Song

They tackle a ‘Jumanji-esque’ theme, where they have to complete a variety of fun challenges in a ‘Puzzle Adventure Land’. The boys duel against a skeleton, sing on top of gigantic dice, ‘escape’, and much more.

http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/10/ara...kyu-love-song/

I still don't like Meikyuu Love Song but I wouldn't lie that the PV preview's really entertaining if not original

Guess it will be like Troublemaker where I really detest the song but the PV speaks volume for itself

Midori-chan 18th October 2011 09:22 AM

^
:laugh

I don't think that I'll ever love this song, but it's okay. The PV on the other side looks hilarious...even though a bit tacky! :rolleyes

Beauty4123 18th October 2011 07:07 PM

OMG i love the PV preview! :heart it's so creative! and fun! i can't wait to watch it in full. :D

the boys are also looking AMAZING, btw. :smitten

i know it's already been seen, but in case anyone wants to watch the PV preview again, here's another link:

Midori-chan 19th October 2011 06:00 PM

YEAH!!!
Mao-chan and Arashi...six of my favourite people! :smitten

@Bigtop: Erm, why? I think they did a really good job at the "Kouhaku" so far!

KarenPang 19th October 2011 06:11 PM

there were quite a bit of negative comments/feedback about them hosting Kouhaku last year

Especially since Sakurai is the most experienced/gifted when comes to hosting duties . The rest are pretty raw if not , not as strong as Sakurai

In last year's Kouhaku , among the negative remarks I've heard/read is that each of them do not get an equal amount of screentime for their hosting duties & at times when there're certain awakard moments during when the event took place , they didn't know how to react/respond in time

dreamland2.0 19th October 2011 08:56 PM

Honestly I actually agree with Bigtop this time (omg lol)
I don't think they should host it. It gives such an extreme disadvantage to the red team. Poor ladies.
The job shouldn't be given to one of the performers but instead an actor like Inoue or television personality or someone.

Yeah, I kind of agree a bit on your point - Johnny's are way too popular in some terms (combining fans of Johnny's boys kind of like more than AKB48's base), and the red team has NOT won since 2004 - the boys have been on a six-year winning streak (the white team), though I'm not sure why...

Kouhaku should let EXILE be the MC's for the white team haha even though somehow I doubt all 14 of them can host all together at the same time D:

well the decision has been made already so :shrug there bound to be people who will be happy if not unhappy about it :O

Midori-chan 20th October 2011 02:57 PM

Oh, I see.
I've never heard anything about the negative feedback towards Arashi's hosting qualities at the Kouhaku, so thank you for clearing this up for me! :yes

I guess the reason why Arashi is hosting the Kouhaku since some time is because they're very popular right now.

@dreamland2.0: I've to agree with you! I also hate that the ladies have not won since years. I was quite furious last year, because I think that the red team did SO MUCH better!

KarenPang 20th October 2011 03:14 PM

Kouhaku is a very prestigious event , Japan entertainment wise & naturally , there always will be flak that will be imposed on the hosts of the event

ARASHI always had been relatively popular , it's only 3 years back their popularity shot though the roof so it's not an overnight thing

Sakurai is naturally the best person when comes to hosting . The others , not so & they have not reach the same level that Sakurai has attained . For them to host Kouhaku (again) , I don't know how this year's going to be like

But I'm sure after last year which was the 1st time of them hosting such a grand scale event , their hosting skills might probably be more polished & they wouldn't make the same mistakes such as fumbling over lines & not acting/reacting quick in saying something when so & so happens live on TV

Unlike their variety shows which're all usually recorded , edited 2 weeks prior to broadcasting it on TV , Kouhaku is a live event so they cannot screw things up unintentionally or not

KarenPang 21st October 2011 03:28 PM

I received a couple of ARASHI magazine clippings / flyers from a UK friend who's currently based in Tokyo as she's on a 1 year school exchange programme 8D

I got them scanned up

Funny that she included these as well , she must have probably known before that I was very MatsuJun baited lmao XD
