I was in the 5th last row on 2nd floor for CDL10-11. I was in section F, so it was a direct view of the stage because the stage is in the middle, so it was great, not bad at all for being right at the back.

What section are you in? Being in J or A would be the furthest from the stage, obviously.

greggerz189 13th June 2011 04:39 PM

But even if you're on the A-block side toward the back, there's a catwalk that goes straight down the middle and you actually get a good deal of face-time with Ayu when she comes by during the second half of the show.

miki_beland 13th June 2011 10:54 PM

^ is there a catwalk on the A block?? i thought it was on the C and D blocks

Luja. 13th June 2011 11:58 PM

Guys, is it possible to hold a ticket at a reseller store? Like, e.g. you go to a reseller store tomorrow and say you will come back the next day and until then they don't sell it to anyone else?

Never, they aren't that nice.

He means the catwalk extends so that if you are sitting in Block A on 1st and 2nd level, you can see her when she walks over on the catwalk.

I must say that for CDL10-11, the catwalk actually went in the other direction, so people sitting in Block J, H, down that end, saw Ayu.

I'm not sure how it is in PoM but for Yoyogi, I'd THINK it'd be the same...

Edit: BTW guys, so jealous! I've seen Ayu 4 times before but Power of Music looks amazing and I want to go more than anything!!!! I m convincing myself I will go CDL 11-12!!!! HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK WITH TICKETS

truehappiness 14th June 2011 04:50 AM

Yeah, the catwalk goes towards where the main stage would normally be this time around.

HDFB, hopefully you get to see HOTEL Love songs in CDL form~ haha.

Luja. 14th June 2011 09:41 AM

did she sing Love song on this tour yet?

Yep, she has done Love song twice, but only one chorus, I believe.

I love how you keep posting blogs of Japanese fans that write about Ayu :D It's awesome to browse through them once in a while. Thanks so much!

Maybe the setup for Yoyogi is different, but that definitely wasn't the case in YokoAri. But you're right nonetheless, I think the catwalk is indeed not in the A block, haha XD. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the catwalk was between H and J blocks like HilaryDuffFanBoy said.

She performed the full-length album version of the song on 6/4 when I went ^_^.

truehappiness 15th June 2011 03:51 AM

That's nice! But how the heck are they going to include all of these on the DVD if a lot of them end up that long... haha~

Aderianu 15th June 2011 06:30 AM

^they would not xD
what if Ayu release only one DVD with concert? since one song in encore and MC is very short

YUKARI 15th June 2011 07:24 AM

I'm so jealous ~.~

if I went to Japan this July as I planned I would definitely tour with ayu and attend as many shows as I could afford :cry I hate this tsunami, earthquake disaster! >< If it didn't happen, I would see ayu for the first time in my life this year ~.~

truehappiness 15th June 2011 08:17 AM

I guess since the entire main show could fit on one disc, they could make a 2nd disc with every single mini-MC+a cappella/full song. She repeated a bunch of the songs performed anyway, so if it was done more than once she could just choose the best take, lol.

Like this:
DVD 1 - main concert with entire final show
DVD 2 - mini MCs + most of the songs performed at each date + making movie

i hate that disaster too.. =( ayu had a complete arena tour concept and had to change it all...

greggerz189 16th June 2011 03:40 PM

Well, Ayu didn't ABSOLUTELY have to scrap HOTEL Love songs, but she did so probably for a number of reasons:

a) Her current show is probably much further under budget than HOTEL Love songs (and given the financial state of things, it's probably much easier on avex this way)

b) Due to the recent crises at the nuclear power plants, setsuden has been put into effect, whereby energy conservation is of the utmost importance in Japan these days. That being said, Ayu's new show effectively cuts her usual energy usage in about half, realistically speaking. No super flashy lights or sparkling stageworks like NEXT LEVEL and RnRC means she's doing her part to continue her tour and abide by her country's wishes during this time of urgency.

c) Honestly, unless you're physically in Japan, you have no idea the kind of impact the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters have had on the morale of the country as a whole. I'm profoundly moved by the Japanese people's resilience and strength during a time like this. Keeping that in mind, however, if you take one look around the city at night, you would absolutely know that the March disasters have left a huge scar on the country and its people, and in spite of how much they're trying to stay positive, there is such a solemn, mournful atmosphere about the entire nation. There are no celebrations of any kind taking place (including the usual firework festivals which go off without a hitch every summer--they have been effectively canceled by the government), so why should Ayu produce a flashy tour in the advent of what has happened? I think this reason was the one that had the most profound impact on Ayu's decisions to revamp her tour as POWER of MUSIC.

MissElin_ 16th June 2011 07:50 PM

Well, she said that she didn't scrap HOTEL Love Songs. She even said that she will perform it in the future so... I'm guessing for CDL.

!Lawi! 16th June 2011 09:03 PM

^I'm not sure if I'd prefer HOTEL Love songs to be perfomed as a CDL or if I'd want a brand new tour for next year, ... HOTEL Love songs deserves to be a full tour I guess. Well, the important is that we get it a way or another =)

truehappiness 16th June 2011 09:11 PM

I think they might at least extend the normal two day schedule to last at least as long as A MUSEUM's run if they do decide to CDL it up.

It probably does deserve a tour of its own, but I really would rather not see Ayu have a Love songs tour in 2012 when she probably will have a new album out at that time~

I just really can't wait to see new -anything- from Ayu this year, haha. So far we've only gotten progress when it comes to new music!
