Shota all the while has never really been a strong seller when comes to his singles and/or albums

And frankly that's unfortunate as he's 1 of the rare male solos out there right now still releasing music & let alone most of what he releases , he himself writes & composes

I would say so too. Definitely something from his first album.

Yeah his sorta peak period was during the time when he released Umbrella & Journey

His other albums are also equally good but COLOURS is my fave outta what he released so far

Maybe some people only know him from his Miliyah collabs so maybe love forever? Or forever love since that one is shotaxmiliyah and not the other way around.

I see, that's a little sad, but I do agree with him being a rare male solo.. At least off the top of my head in the pop realm, all of who I can really think of.. is him and Daichi Miura or Yuya Matsushita. (Though I don't listen to many Japanese male solos.)

COLOURS is my favorite release of his. NATURALLY was the hardest to get into, but it does have some stand out songs for me. When I think of Shota, I think of 'YOU & I' (Probably my favorite song from him)

COLOURS & ENCORE are my 2 fave albums that Shota released . I tried listening to his debut album Umbrella but somehow I can't get into it no matter how hard I tried :no

Journey was good and yeah Naturally was a bit difficult to get into

^Wow, I've had a very different experience. My favorite album is Umbrella with Journey as a close second. I also am very fond of COLORS. Naturally is very hard to get into and I listened to ENCORE once when it came out and I remember really really disliking it. His cover album is also very forgettable. I should give those albums another try.

Oh that's interesting . I guess why I didn't like Umbrella was the styles that Shota presented and oddly enough , I don't like it when he raps

I like the singles that were included in Naturally . I can't really remember the album tracks on there :x

ENCORE was great as it had a great opening & closing numbers . In addition , I love DREAM on the album

My favorite track on Naturally was Gamble. Absolutely love that song. The others were good but I haven't heard it in so long I can't remember what they sound like.

Definitely gonna give Naturally and ENCORE another try.

The only songs by Shota I REALLY like are GOODBYE and Sakura. Journey was a great album.

^It really was! Kimi ga Suki and Kimi ga Itakara are like permanent jams for me. Will never get old. I have great memories with the Journey album.

Yeah same . Journey was the 1st Shota album I listened/bought , it's still a good album

The only problem I had with ENCORE was that horrendous cover art they gave it. :S
