miwa's going to ACT (ok, you're not reading it incorrectly), yes, act, in the Live-Movie adaptation of Akira Sasou's Maestro! manga as a heroine. The movie is going to be released on 2015....

I hope she's doing fine .__.a

Bigtop 10th March 2014 06:33 AM

Whoa...

This is going to be really BIG...

adantatu2 11th March 2014 01:40 AM

This is going to be funny, miwa as a heroine

mellody 11th March 2014 05:00 AM

If it's some sort of comedy, she fits in. But for serious matters, not sure.
I honestly never want to see her to act, but hopefully it turned out to be good...

miwa to play the heroine in movie 'Maestro!'
Quote:

It's been revealed that miwa will be starring in the 2015 film 'Maestro!'.

This was announced on March 9th during miwa's concert 'miwa spring concert 2014: Shibuya Monogatari ~Kan~' at Yoyogi National Gymnasium. After singing her new song "Let me go" for the first time during the encore, she started, "I have something to say to everyone," and excited the crowd by announcing her first movie appearance. She continued, "I'm going to have to manage my musical activities while I shoot for the movie. I don't have experience, so I feel overwhelmed, but I will do my best!"
'Maestro!' is a live action film adaptation of a music manga by Saso Akira. Its story revolves around former members of an orchestra who were forced to disband after their sponsor went bankrupt. They meet a mysterious conductor named 'Tendo' and aim to hold a concert. The concert master 'Kosaka' will be played by Matsuzaka Tori and the conductor 'Tendo' will be played by Nishida Toshiyuki. miwa will play the heroine, flute player 'Amane'.

I found another new song, it's called Love Love Love.

http://www.j-mp3.info/2014/03/miwa-love-love-love.html

Do you have any info about this ?

mellody 20th March 2014 04:16 AM

Album tribute to DREAMS COME TRUE. She cover one of their song, and that's it.
(including many artists)

She did that before on her radio show.

adantatu2 20th March 2014 04:57 AM

Thanks for the info !!! :)
I didn't know it's a cover

mellody 21st March 2014 06:35 AM

Yet another new song.

Kimi ni Deaeta Kara (Because I met you).
Again for SEABREEZE.

Somewhat like... Bossa Nova? Samba?

adantatu2 21st March 2014 07:07 AM

^Thanks. I think it sounds a bit like "Miracle".

I just watched the documentary mellody posted on the previous page (thank you for doing that!). It was great! I loved getting a glimpse into the process behind againxagain: it was already one of my favorite songs from guitarium, and I feel like I gained a new level of apreciation for it after seeing how much work she's put into it. Her visit to the random high school music club was awkward and adorable. The whole documentary was uplifting and kind of inspiring, would watch again.

Sidenote: I've been in a miwa mood big time this week. We had to write a review of something for my German course; the teacher suggested books or movies, but I reviewed Delight. I sure hope she appreciates reading about my love for Japanese pop. :P

I loved the documentary, she works so hard, she's so young and she composed more than 50 songs already. I really like miwa as a singer and person.
I was listenning to her songs the whole week.

And if you want you can share your review.

mellody 24th March 2014 05:16 AM

Another big news and yet another new song again.

As far as I can read, miwa new song, titled "Sora no Mukou" (Beyond the Sky) preview coming soon, chosen for a certain NHK program to support young athletes for Olympic 2020.

Wow, just wow...

Bigtop 24th March 2014 07:19 AM

This is really great! Another new song!

And that leads me to this question? Another new single coming up...or an ALBUM, anybody? I'm smelling more of a new album than a new single... (we've had two singles since the last album)

adantatu2 25th March 2014 02:33 AM

^I have the same question, I'm sure we'll get some news soon, but i think it will be an album too, i mean 3 new songs is a lot.

mellody 26th March 2014 04:52 AM

One single of Faith have 3 new songs already.
Plus 2 songs from Double A-side single, you got 5.

I would only pick Faraway, Kiss you, and Faith for the new album though.
One more single and we got a new album, I think it should be like that.

Utena 10th May 2014 11:38 AM
