Ugh. ClariS back in #2...and Southern All Stars is #1. (>_<)

It's pretty unlikely that Ayaka might get #2... And I'm kind of concerned about if she's going to be able to hold off Southern, with my concerns after they were ahead of miwa and Ayu... :no

Yeah, I'd be shocked at that. Seems like Oricon hasn't been favoring well for female soloists (only Koda Kumi can get around, but with little competition)... And I'm not liking this Southern All Stars "Budo" album messing around with the female artists, even if it's right now in the THIRD WEEK...

But then again, there's this digital music trend that we've been having recently...

^^ thats pretty rude. Altough I'm not a fan of Southern All Stars it's quite impressive for them to hold up after soooo many years. And it is not Oricon that is not favouring female solistst, its the japanese society.

edit: and in most cases it seems to be a self-choosen scenerio. Namie can hold up pretty well, altough her music isn't that groundbreaking or anything. She just has a good management and knows how to put herself out there (a lesson some other solists should take)

If ayaka sells over 6,700 copies in the next two days she can pass A ONE.

Karen, shut up! :eviltongu

Okay, Karen rant aside, #2 is good news. I'm glad she can get #2, but I've still got concerns:
  • The gap between #2 and #3 is NOT THAT MUCH. It's roughly 300, so that's not going to make a dent in a run against ClariS.
  • Southern All Stars is still #1...and I'm still concerned if that's going to bump Ayaka to #4, the 'unlucky number' position, in the worst case. I'm not going to like it when Ayaka's outside of the top three, especially if it's done by an artist who bumped miwa and Ayu to #3 and #4 respectively.

That's my two concerns. The Southern All Stars bit kind of irks and concerns me most though.

That could be possible. But I'm not sure if, at this pace, she'll reach it... :no

Actually, I would be surprised more if Ayaka sells more albums than Ayu in the first week! :D I'm surprised miwa can garner out more than Ayaka though.

Someone going to make an insulting remark on Southern All Stars again ? :rolleyes

Delicious n Bold 20th April 2015 12:00 PM

The more I listen to no end the more I like it. Ayaka really should have kept with this style for the album. It really sounds like the entire thing spans a 3 year recording period like Namie's uncontrolled. I know the whole rainbow theme allows this but I think it's just a lazy excuse.

It sucks that this photo is so much better than most if not all the pictures of her inside the Rainbow Road CD booklet :x

At least she doesn't look weird

Not gonna this time! :P

I just heard she may have stole a top three spot from ClariS...
Spoiler:
...because this news report from Mantan Web (Mainichi Shimbun entertainment) says ClariS took #4 :P

Oricon news only lists out who's #1 every Tuesday morning (JST) (Monday afternoon PDT), but hearing news of ClariS on the spoiler above...I'm actually quite happy about that!

I'm pretty certain she sold more than Ayu in the first week

Delicious n Bold 21st April 2015 04:37 AM

Are scans of the booklet available?

KarenPang 21st April 2015 06:09 AM

avex Taiwan has confirmed on their Facebook page they'll be making/releasing the 3CDs + DVD of Rainbow Road in Taiwan

https://www.facebook.com/avextw/phot...745710/?type=1

They didn't state the release date but Rainbow Road will be released next Wed in Taiwan on 29th April

:roflmao

My goodness...five more copies than Ayu!?!?!?

:P

At least she gets a top three after all. :yes (But wait...there's adjustments! Oricon reported 33,226, which is lower... http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/ja/w/2015-04-27/)

Delicious n Bold 22nd April 2015 03:56 AM

Wait a minute, that total (33,226) is what Karen reported above.
So my post is the beginning of the new week (1,629).

Also this means Ayu outsold ayaka. Sleigh a bit Ayu...

But keep in mind that Ayu is older, has more experience, and has been more popular historicaly...oh well.

But finally, it has arrived! My copy of Rainbow Road has arrived! (Actually, it did come with TWO identical copies, but that other one is being left unopened and kept for resell purposes, either through eBay or some other third party if the eBay listing fails to attract a potential buyer.) Look under the spoiler for my 'unboxing' pictures!

Spoiler:
At first, I thought that the package with the Rainbow Road album(s) (plus a used copy of Ai Otsuka's LOVE JAM CD+DVD from 2004) would come on Wednesday. But when I came back home on Tuesday, apparently the box (mysteriously) appeared! I was surprised it arrived on Tuesday instead of Wednesday! My brother, who was at home since he had shorter school days, signed the package after he was done with school (since I bought it through mu-mo/Ayaka shop as a Room Ayaka member) and he was at home at the time of delivery.

http://s26.postimg.org/6ov0fjavp/201..._OS_edited.jpg

Here's a picture of the album, along with a ticket holder as a limited bonus for ordering through mu-mo.

http://s26.postimg.org/8hoqcdhat/201...30515_i_OS.jpg

And here are some more pics, from the front, to the back, and even the CDs - and a picture of the booklet, which is essentially the CD-only cover (except the text inside is modified for specific contents of this version, particularly the Utattemita bonus DVD that you won't find anywhere else but mu-mo and Ayaka shop).

http://s26.postimg.org/lgv4t4rf9/201...47951_i_OS.jpghttp://s26.postimg.org/b48u71xw5/201...02752_i_OS.jpghttp://s26.postimg.org/e2aeehuxh/201...35095_i_OS.jpghttp://s26.postimg.org/xf1akrkk5/201...59412_i_OS.jpghttp://s26.postimg.org/3tdbuxhhx/201...46593_i_OS.jpg

But wait...what's this? How in the world a mailing from the Room Ayaka fanclub show up in my package?!

http://s26.postimg.org/kjopk9fx1/201..._OS_edited.jpghttp://s26.postimg.org/lxgcfkf6d/201..._OS_edited.jpg

Oh wait...it's the Room Ayaka magazine volume 3! What a way to complement my Rainbow Road delivery! :P

http://s26.postimg.org/61w3q0dzp/201...41681_i_OS.jpg

And, there it is, all together. :D

http://s26.postimg.org/igeaclg45/201..._OS_edited.jpghttp://s26.postimg.org/wo8kezi6t/201...32395_i_OS.jpg

By the way, I guess this is the first press, so my copy of Rainbow Road (as well as the one that I'll be selling on eBay) is packaged in a neat (glossy) slipcase.

http://s26.postimg.org/7d3uyh9lh/201...49496_i_OS.jpg

And, just for goodness, here's my copy of Rainbow Road right alongside 'The beginning' from 2012, Ayaka's first release since getting out of hiatus (pre-ordered it through HMV in 2011, before pre-ordering most of new CD releases for other artists, such as Yanawaraba and Sayuri Sugawara/The SxPlay, and sometimes Ayaka if the Room Ayaka fanclub version doesn't impress me in some way, through CDJapan, as well as buying older releases through Amazon Japan).

http://s26.postimg.org/fg219su6t/201...48270_i_OS.jpg

One last note: even though I'm a Room Ayaka member, and I own the FANCLUB version of Rainbow Road, why in the world I would get this piece of paper with Room Ayaka information??? Oh wait, this paper also contains upcoming concert tour dates on the other side (although that is not expected to start until late this year). But, anyways, if you want to join Room Ayaka, there is a special offer code RRAL2015 which can be applied to a new membership - and you could get a copy of that Room Ayaka magazine that I showed you as part of the member's welcome package (to be sent about a month after signing up, I think) of a membership card and a pair of chopsticks that is already included for all new members! :D Offer expires April 30th, so if you're considering about joining Room Ayaka, then act fast, because this is a limited-time offer!

Delicious n Bold 22nd April 2015 04:23 AM

Oh lord the magazine uses that smile.
That smile is iconic tbh,.
