I wonder if the background vocal of Survivor is arranged and composed by Timmy? As I can't help thinking of BRILLANTE.

truehappiness 11th May 2016 08:05 AM

I wanna say tasuku is a Bjork fan, lol.

Uknow! 11th May 2016 08:05 AM

I love the album *_*

Flower, Breakdown and Mad World are my favourites. Survivor is epic for me, I love the song, I think is a song you like it or hate it, but omg, original.

Lol don't ask why my mind works that way. I'm just too lazy to get onto my laptop and download anything tbh. I just wait it out. Ah I miss my carefree teenage days where all I did was download jpop. Good times.

FLOWER is my jam, Mr. Darling is killed for me by her choice to sing it

Damn, I really like this album. I high key was expecting to be a bit disappointed, but I'm far too pleased. This will be my favorite release since Party Queen.

You are the only one is such a dream. So perfect, so pretty, so smooth. Like what I love in her ballads.

This album just really feels like ayu. The arrangements are interesting and have the different intricacies that I love. They aren't bland or static. There are notable and subtle changes and beautiful sound and instrumentation choices.

I'm so proud of her for this tbh. This feels so fresh, yet so her. It's the perfect balance.

Also I love the vocal performance on this album a lot.

SAAAAMMME

Like, I felt like I was listening to a visual-kei band for the first few tracks actually (but especially that one) lol. A lot of this album actually made me nostalgic in many ways.

I can't believe that I like every Song from MADE IN JAPAN. What's happening haha :'D

The tasky and FLOWER combination is definitely my favorite part. Mad World, Breakdown, Survivor and You are the only one are following closely.
I do admit that the chanting in Survivor sounds a bit odd and I also had to laugh a little at first , but it fits the song so well and overall gives me an epic feeling. It sounds so strong.

Aw man I'm so looking forward to the Tour. Even more so than before listening to MADE IN JAPAN and I didn't thought THAT to be possible lol :D

Survivor it's almost too weird to be enjoyable. Almost. It's weird and perfect in every way. I really love it.

AYU JUST MADE MY DAY <3

Surreal17 11th May 2016 08:51 AM

GREEN (CDL 2015-2016 ver.) would fit so well on M(A)DE IN JAPAN. Ayu, please put it as a bonus track!!

truehappiness 11th May 2016 08:51 AM

I feel like out of most Japanese female groups/soloists, only Ayu would take the song title of FLOWER and make into this Japanese-rock-fusion thing, lol.

cosmicfirefly 11th May 2016 08:55 AM

This album is amazing, I have it on repeat! I can't even decide which song I like best - it's between Breakdown, FLOWER, Mad World, and You are the only one, though I'm loving the rest of the songs too. I can't wait to read the lyric translations!

Uknow! 11th May 2016 08:59 AM

I need lyric translations! I forgot about lyrics because the album sounds really good.

Sesshou94 11th May 2016 09:01 AM

Just started my first listen, I'm on FLOWER now and I'm like dying here. This is awesome! :love

Miduhyo 11th May 2016 09:03 AM

I think I've found what I love so much about this album. It feels like she actually has something to say. I'm listening to Mad World for the billionth time today and I'm hearing what I haven't heard in a long time. True, real, raw emotion. This desperate, strong plea of 'Hey, I have something to say! It's important to me so it must be important to someone else too! Listen to me! Please, listen!' It was that fire there that that made me fall in love with Ayu years and years ago. I mean, don't get me wrong. She's always put effort and feeling into her music but a lot of us have been sitting here for a while saying something is missing, something is different, it's not the same, or what have you. Thankfully, with this release, I've found that 'thing' that's been missing for me and I'm so happy that it's back. Even if in the next album this rawness is gone, at least it's come back for this album. It's cherishing, to me.

Oh lawdy. I just realized I'm blabbering like a fool. Sorry if that was random but I'm just so happy with this album. I really am.

truehappiness 11th May 2016 09:04 AM

I think she knew what she was hinting at for sure with the album having a certain frankness/honesty to it that everyone would be able to understand.

I wonder how this will translate into the tour, however.
