I think we can consider Addicted To You as the first time she danced on a PV. Or maybe CYKAS?

And she had a coreography for Passion as well

thinkingoutloud89 28th July 2017 01:34 PM

lol, yeah it wasn't that off but Utada is no dancer. Even if she learns the choreo, she has no the year long training that dancers have - thats why most people book one for MVs incorporating CONTEMPORARY DANCE!

It was okay, I think the full body shots at the beginning made it looks strange - more of an editing thing than the actual dance.

hayasaki 28th July 2017 02:14 PM

She's no Namie. give her a break. LOL And the fact that she danced in this mv, imagine the effort she gave and the risk? :)

dreamalley 28th July 2017 05:29 PM

I just watched the video.

Well... kudos to her for trying something new, taking some risks.

With that said, both the song and the video are boring. The dance was kinda awkward but I've seen worse. The finale with the chameleon was weird.

I'm happy that she's still releasing stuff rather than going to hiatus again. But I'm kinda disappointed at how safe and boring her songs are becoming.

pedronekoi 28th July 2017 06:07 PM

I love the concept of the PV! I'm glad she put the contemporary dance in i! It's a big thing that a lot of alternative artists (singers and filmmakers) in Western are doing (Blood Orange, Kenzo and Sia - to name a few). I love it! I think people don't get that it's not a choreographed dance like Namie's or Ayu's. It's more free and flowy. And the end of the PV is amazing! Love it! Well done! Great direction!

I know! I couldn't stop looking at her arms and how toned they are. Don't mess with GODTADA, she'll beat you up with those arms! LMAO

I really enjoyed the music video, its so different compared to any of her other videos and her contemporary dancing is so good too!

Forevermore is no. 1 in mora, Recochoku, and iTunes :D.

ShiniTakashi 30th July 2017 04:26 AM

Forevermore hasn't done much for me yet. Don't know if it'll be a grower, but I'm disappointed with what I thought would be the better of the two songs.

blackmage 31st July 2017 06:58 AM

I was talking to a friend and he didn't like the lyrics after looking it up because he felt the content was too codependent on a romantic interest, but when I looked at the translation, I didn't interpret it that way. As I read thought the lyrics, I took it as she is singing about her child rather than a romantic interest. What do you guys think? Has she spoken in any interviews about the lyrics yet?

On my first impression the string instruments in the beginning really caught my attention bringing me into the song... though I thought as the jazzy elements grew it was going to turn me off while hearing the song for the first time, but I'm a sucker and I like it. Its playful, but slightly melancholy; it has really grown on me the more I listen to it. Maybe I'm crazy, but there is a point in the song where it makes me think of 'Parody'.

ShiniTakashi 31st July 2017 11:25 AM

^ I could see it being taken like that. I don't think she's said anything about it, but the lyrics are left open enough to be about more than just a lover. At least I think so.

And, what do you know, song's grown on me immensely in just a few short days.

The PV looks like an artistic performance, which makes the music video unique.

I feel like some zombies would pop out from nowhere in the PV...

Why is every interview in japan a "special" interview? I don't get it!

@DeepRiver

Perhaps it's the special interview of the magazine issue. It's a 10-page article.

ayu_ready? 1st August 2017 08:40 PM

I actually like Forevermore, but the PV somehow makes it sound more boriing than it is, lol

Ayufan11 2nd August 2017 02:26 AM

@DeepRiver bummer :( I love the rest of the pics, too! But that one especially!

EndOfTheWorld 2nd August 2017 06:03 AM

Thanks for the HQ photos. I love them. The mysterious black and white vibe is great for Utada.:luv2
