It's out already!

So out of the blue oh my god!!

Making of as well!

lovethatkuu&ayu 4th August 2020 12:17 AM

LOL! When the hell did she film this!?! The PV is pretty good, considering it's hard to film a proper video given the pandemic. The song is a standard LDH party song, but it's not bad.

kaled kalil 4th August 2020 12:37 AM

Lets not act like Kumi doesn't use older songs on future releases, like Brave and others. Being unreleased doesn't mean that the song is bad automatically, it just might not fit the project she's working at the specifically moment.

I do understand people complaining about the release, I'm just not that bother to be vocal about it. It is just a glorified playlist that cost almost 10.000 yen with barely new content to excuse the release.

As lovethatkuu&ayu said, we are spoiled. We just expect better I guess.

OSAKA TOKYO's pv is cute, she looks cute with this hairstyle.

^ Atushi's PV is pretty nice! and ku looks so good!

Also.. I have to admit that it bothers me that the clip uploaded by her management featuring all her pvs (most) repeats PVs and it's missing more xD.

tokyoxjapanxfan 4th August 2020 05:15 AM

I was watching the hands pv for the first time in a long time, and I really like it. The colors and the styling and filming all work really well together. Whoever directed it—do we know if they did other videos for Kuu?

Uhh...video taken down?

KarenPang 4th August 2020 06:58 AM

I like the 20th anniversary promo picture so I don't have any issues with it being used as the fanclub exclusive album cover even though I'm certain many other great photos were taken during the photoshoot

Nobody forces anyone to die die buy this release & for those who criticise & whine for the sake of doing so , it reflects really poorly on yourself

You buy the release to support Kuu and even if you don't due to certain reasons it does not make you a bad fan

I'm not in Kuu's fanclub(s) but I don't have any form of guilt in not owning everything she puts out

thinkingoutloud89 4th August 2020 12:37 PM

It's just me or am i the only one who does not care for covers? I celebrate them when they are amazing but I don't care when not. I rarely look at them anyways.

I think it's like what was said in an ayu's thread once, probably they release most of what they got to the final stage so the leftovers are too raw to release. ayu herself has done tons of stuff throughout her career and iirc she only released video footage like that in A COMPLETE, so I don't expect it from Kuu either.

It probably depends on the artiste & also various different factors

For BREAKERZ , last year's Yamiyo ni Mau Aoi Tori single was something that could have been in their 2007 self titled debut album if not their debut single as the music demo they had on hand was so old until they don't know which year AKIHIDE composed it

And 2017's Yume Monogatari's B-side devil or angel? also was something they created during the early years of the band formation back in 2006 but it didn't made the cut in their debut album either

While for DAIGO's CHANGE!! , it was supposed to be as part of BREAKERZ's discography but that didn't materialised as DAIGO felt the song would sound out of place & in the end DAIGO released it under his own name

thinkingoutloud89 4th August 2020 01:40 PM

^the difference tho is that the japanese music scene is so fast paced that nearly everything gets released somehow someday whereas western artist have 2- 6 years gaps in between albums, record here and there and than narrow the stuff on hand down to 12-15 songs. Most of what was created during the process gets either scrapped since every album is tied to a certain part of their lifes, sold to other artist or become bonus tracks these days.

Watch the PV for EXILE ATSUSHI and Koda Kumi's duet song 'Osaka Tokyo'

Quote:

The PV for EXILE ATSUSHI and Koda Kumi's duet song "Osaka Tokyo" has been uploaded onto YouTube.

"Osaka Tokyo" will be included in ATSUSHI's fourth solo album "40 ~forty~" to drop on November 4, but it has been available digitally since July. It's been 14 years since the two released their last collaboration song "WON'T BE LONG" under the name EXILE&KODA KUMI in 2006. They decided to work together again after participating in the music festival 'ASEAN-Japan Music Festival 2019 in VIETNAM' last year.

The video features the two powerfully singing in two different spaces. It conveys the song's message about two people's feelings getting stronger as they are unable to see each other.

The PV for OSAKA TOKYO is at #40 for Japanese youtube trends right now.

I also have to say I really like it.
It's simple, but well done and so crystal clear in quality.
I love the shots of the two in front of the tremendous screen.
Definitely better for me than the one for WON'T BE LONG, which is pretty similar in style but not shot in a pandemic.

thinkingoutloud89 5th August 2020 02:57 PM

I like the PV too, but it shows that EXILE gets much more money than Kuu.

Gustavopc 5th August 2020 03:12 PM

^ Why tho? It's literally a green screen video and they both have just one outfit. I'd agree if there were tons of costumes, dancers and etc but maybe it was just the editing which was a bit more dynamic than Kuu's usualy are.

thinkingoutloud89 5th August 2020 04:13 PM

^yeah, but you can clearly tell the difference between this and puff. A green screen PV does not have to be cheap btw.

sitara 5th August 2020 04:25 PM

I really like it! :) much more than her other recent releases. feels like summer <3

lovethatkuu&ayu 5th August 2020 04:50 PM

ATSUSHI gets funded via LDH. Rhythm Zone/avex is just the record label that distributes the release. There are different dynamics at play when discussing how Kumi (a veteran avex soloist) is funded Vs. a key member of EXILE (a veteran LDH group still shipping around 200k to stores per album release).

thinkingoutloud89 5th August 2020 05:01 PM

didn't want to throw shade. ATSUSHI is still clearly one of the biggest player tho - all I wanted to say. Puff was also intended to have tat home made look so nothing to compare.
I'm sorry.

Corvina 5th August 2020 05:07 PM

I think puff is well made as well, the dynamics in both are nice.
But overall you can notice a difference looking at the whole for both artists, sure.

Most of the comments and the top voted comments are that Kuu is so pretty and having such great abs despite her age, rofl.
