Okay so like, I am totally way way way behind the times, but I just found out this information about Rina retiring ...

I'M SO UPSET! Okay, I agree that it's been years since she released great music... but she is my second favorite jpop singer right after Ayu.

I've had Rina's pictures for my avatar/signature for like 99% of the time I've belonged to AHS (which has been 7 years now...).

I remember getting into Rina since right after she released Navy Blue at the end of 2001. I loved her music and especially her powerful voice. I have all of her original albums + remix album and probably half her singles.

I'm not surprised that she's retiring from the music industry. Her sales have been awful, her music has gotten progressively worse, and not for nothing, but she is 30 now, and unfortunately that's not a great age to be in Japan when you are a jpop singer (sorry, I know Ayu/Namie are 30+, but for the majority of female singers out there, it's TOUGH. See what happened to many of Hello! Project's singers as they got older).

I am surprised about Rina's thyroid health problem :( I hope she takes care of herself. I will miss her like crazy!!!! And definitely getting the last album of hers to support her.

Sighhh...

It is really sad to know Rina's retiring, but due to this health problems, it is probably the best she can do. All we can do now is support her :)

Rina's official website has been updated with the CM for Last Scene. They've added as well a link to a page with special contents about her last album. So that means there is a tiny preview for one of the new songs.

And because Rina's Last Scene is being released in a couple of days, I have a little present for you: a bigger promo image (which is basically the CD+DVD cover textless) from the index page Last Scene Special Contents page.

I'm using the picture as a wallpaper. Fits almost perfectly on my desktop. The top shows as being just above the center hair line at top of her forehead. :D:D

Previews for all songs are already up. Don't want to judge album by them, but it sounds exactly like previous album, maybe it has more rock songs. Prologue is really the best off the bunch, I have my Feel you as my hidden jem in THANX, now I have Prologue here.
