I frankly got a shock when I 1st heard the preview of Tokei Jikake no Umbrella

it sounds like nothing on what they have ever done before *not counting truth in here

in a way or 2 , while I'm happy that My Girl's NOT a double A-side single , I'm sad that Tokei Jikake no Umbrella will not be included in their new album :( & even getting a PV sigh

^ It better at least get some tv performances or something cause from what I'm hearing this is their best track this year.

I'm sure that more live performances will emphasis on My Girl a lot more than the B-side

they never really perform B-sides of their tunes live on TV , except the FINAL remix with regards to Hana Yori Dango Final movie promo which's unfortunate

that's true , I can't imagine My Girl having any form of dance moves attached to it since just like Beautiful days , it's mellow

at least for Tokei Jikake no Umbrella , you can visualise what kinda crazy terribly hard to mimic dance moves they will employ LOL

I tell you , their dance moves are SO difficult to mimic & hard :headache , they're not like KAT-TUN or NEWS where it's quite easy/straight forward with some practice

but ARASHI ? hoo boy *points to Kitto Daijoubu as eg @_@

ohh, i know TV asahi is probably one of the biggest networks, but i just assumed it's not really "big" with dramas, since i never really see such high ratings and stuff. i'm so uninformed, i'm sorry :weep :laugh

and yea, i'm enjoying LIAR GAME! up to episode 3 now, lol. but i dunno, season got a performance like..4 months later until it got released on a CD, so i dunno if clockwork umbrella will have a performance, too, BUT IT BETTER! i'm so frustrated that it's not the a-side. :(

I think basically everyone's frustated/annoyed that Tokei Jikake no Umbrella is not released alongside with My Girl as an A-side

Tokei Jikake no Umbrella - yeah it's the B-side of My Girl which in this case , from the sound of the preview , everyone's going bonkers over Tokei Jikake no Umbrella a lot more than My Girl xD

you know, i was thinking about this all day during class (you think i actually pay attention? :rolleyes :laugh) and i think it's really strange that JE would make "my girl" the a-side over "clockwork umbrella". i specifically remember something that SunshineSlayer posted, about how arashi's singles have been "safe" this year. now i think it could actually true, because maybe JE thinks the audience wouldn't have recieved "clockwork umbrella" that great, since it's so different and all. and since the mid-tempo ballad-ish songs got pretty well sales this year, the safe decision is to leave that type of song as an a-side, and save the best track for the b-side. i dunno, this has bothered me ALL DAY. i still can't believe how JE can let this song be second. i still love "my girl", but come on! i shouldn't compare 2 different songs, but "clockwork umbrella" could have had an AMAZING (or even not amazing, at least it's something) PV and TV performances. it's so aggravating :dead2 i mean, "truth" was different for the boys and that's the #1 single of 2008, so it could have gotten both ways, really. i just don't understand why JE is like this. i assume it's johnny's decision for the songs, right? i dunno if arashi get that much control over what they want as the main track or not. :shrug

I think J Storm / Johnny is scared that Tokei Jikake no Umbrella might not go well with their current batch of fans that they have won over from Step and Go til now ?

I like to be a fly on the wall on J Storm's office & see exactly what happens behind the scenes since I'm interested in these sorta stuff (hey maybe 1 day I will end up working in the music industry instead of the corporate world after I graduate LOL)

maybe Johnny-san also knows that after the guys have put out 2 DOUBLE A-side singles this year , doing a 3rd double A-side release this year will be @_@

but i wouldn't 3 double a-side singles, because clockwork umbrella is AMAZING. that's the only exception, lol. :P it deserves to be a second a-side :scry

I think Tokei Jikake no Umbrella is a shoo in for 1 of my top 5 fave ARASHI B-sides if the full song's going to be amazing just like what I have heard in the preview

I totally love how their karaoke tracks on there last few singles are actually pure instrumentals, and have no backing vocals! I just listened to Believe's instrumental and it sounds so cool!!
