Koda Kumi's DVD Ranks First


Singer, Koda Kumi’s live DVD “KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2010 UNIVERSE” (Released on the 6th), has sold 47,000 copies in its first week and entered the total DVD ranking at #1. Since the release of “secret~FIRST CLASS LIMITED LIVE~” in September 2005, this is the 6th consecutive year that she has acquired first place.

How so? Both Mirrorcle World and Days/GREEN were AMAZING singles. AT08 was fantastic. The CDL's were fabulous. Ayu looked stunning the entire year. I for one think she owned her 10th Anniversary year.

The content was great, but there was just a lot of time in between releases where we wouldn't have any info. The gap between GUILTY and Mirrorcle World was big but nothing compared to the wait until we got Days/GREEN and AT08 took forever to be released. PCDL was great! The last part of the year picked up a bit, but it was a pretty slow year...

There's not a single ounce of fat on Kumi's stomach in that BEST JEANIST video, no wonder she's showing it off. :laugh

Well there was also the release of A COMPLETE. And GUILTY wasn't even a part of her 10th Anniversary... and Mirrorcle World came out when it came out because it had to coincide with the release of poker face to really be her 10th. Anni single.

I dunno, I liked both singer's 10th annis. Kuu has arguably produced a lot more material though.

lol i totally forgot about A COMPLETE somehow... that was a nice package. but there were a lot of people on here complaining after the release of Mirrorcle World that it's a horrible 10th anniversary and she isn't putting anything out. Even though she was touring the entire time, we didn't have constant updates or stuff like that.

God... this.

Yeah, Kumi had the UNIVERSE tour, Dream music park, and now FANTASIA Dome. But Ayu's tour was really really long and went all over ASIA.

lol meh. I would have rather had more material than a really long tour that went all around asia...

She could have had a regular year AND still did all those things...

And then as far as releases...

Ayu- Mirrorcle World, A COMPLETE, Days/GREEN (two sinlges and one compilation)
Kuu- Best~third universe~ + 8th album UNIVERSE, Gossip Candy, Suki dex3/Anata dake ga, Eternity~Love & Songs~ (one original album, one best album, a triple a-side single, another single, and a cover album)

...It is a hella lot. But I really don't think either or was better or worse. I enjoyed both.

She went back to Korea, lol. And did an album; special enough I guess (for her hard core fans at least) seeing as she hadn't released a Korean album in like 5 years or something. No one cares about BoA in Japan anymore so any 10th Anniversary celebrations wouldn't have been much a party.
