personally I think it's the worst hoot stage ever. I hate it so much. I'm also tired of them reusing those outfits. the performance itself wasn't bad.. dancing was on point and vocals were too.. but the stage and outfits are just super bland.

I personally don't understand why anyone would say that. What evidence do they have to support the claim that they aren't doing well in Japan? Here are FACTS about how successful they are in Japan:

1. For their first showcase in Tokyo Ariake Coliseum, which was reported to be the most large-scale plan for a Korean artist debuting in Japan, they had to do the showcase three times instead of the initial one to accommodate all of the fans that wanted to attend. And still more fans came than they anticipated with the changes.

2. "Genie" peaked at the #5 spot on the same day of its release on the Oricon Charts and later rose to the #2 position some time later, earning the group a #4 position on the Oricon weekly ranking. The group also hit the number #1 spots on Japan iTunes' music video chart and both the Rekochoku daily video clip chart and incoming movie daily ranking chart a day later. With pre-orders amounting to 80,000, the single sold an estimated 45,000 copies in the first week after release, breaking the record for foreign artists debuting in Japan. I don't see anything unsuccessful about any of their activities in Japan. Whoever is saying that needs to get their facts straight first before making statements that they can't back up with proof.

A Japanese release of HOOT is up for preorder now. It comes in four editions: regular edition, limited pressing, limited edition, and deluxe edition. The limited and deluxe editions come with an original photo book (Korean ver.), sticker and a photo card randomly selected from 18 designs. All of the songs are in Korean as well as the HOOT MV. The release date is 12/22/10.

Sounds nice but I have all the music already so I will pass.
Would like the DVD footage and the bonuses though.

I'm really tempted to get the deluxe edition for the DVD footage and goodies. But like you, I already have all of the music so it's not really a practical purchase for me. The only thing I can think of is to sell my Korean version of HOOT but I don't know if I want to let it go, lol. And with it coming out the same day as Ayu's album and the Dream ON single, I don't think I can afford it during that time. I don't know what to do.

Will they sing Hoot and the other songs in Japanese?

It says on CDJapan all the songs will be in Korean.
If they were Japanese I might have considered it.
