So upset to see such a news and confusion over this!! Although I'm not going for this concert,I'm still as excited as a Namie fan. Was looking forward to news of Namie's concert performance in Singapore. I'm sure it's gonna be a big hit for a Japanese superstar to perform here. :( Dun know what hope is there for us Singaporeans now.

Fans say ticket sales for J-pop superstar Namie Amuro's concert here are lacklustre

Is Japanese pop superstar Namie Amuro cancelling her April 26 concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, which would be her first-ever here?

On her official website, it said yes, the concert has been called off due to "local technical reasons".

But according to Midas Promotions, the local promoter of the gig, negotiations were underway as of Monday.

When Life! called the ticketing agency Sistic, a staff member said: "We have since resumed ticket sales and tickets are available."

There have been reports by the local Chinese press that Amuro's website had announced the cancellation of the concert as early as last Friday.

According to those reports, the website said the Singapore leg of her Asia tour in celebration of her 20th anniversary in showbiz has been cancelled due to issues concerning the local promoter.

As of Monday, the site said the reason for the cancellation was due to "local technical reasons".

anyone know what music/remix was used in her dome tour interlude that before "You're my sunshine"? i just realize the one in live cd just use back short version as shown in wowow, but the extended they used in dvd sound nicer!

Contrail

Delicious n Bold 15th April 2013 08:53 PM

namie sounds dead dead dead at the beginning of the song behind a nice beat.
the song also drags on with no fulfilling climax.

Kouyou 15th April 2013 09:06 PM

From what I could hear, I think it'll be a good track. Not fantastic, just alright. Like Delicious n Bold said, there's no fulfilling climax, which is necessary when the verses are this monotonous.

man this whole drama over the concert cancelation, WTF? is her management a bunch of 5 year olds? :headache Sometimes J-pop companies are acting so dumb it's increadible. Professionals you see....:rolleyes

Yes I love that interclude too, the full version sounds awesome! The CD ver is too short == Could anyone rip it off the DVD T-T?

harufi 16th April 2013 11:53 AM

Contrail is...alright. Not a track I'll particularly remember.

emi♡ 16th April 2013 12:09 PM

I actually feel like I'll like it a lot. It's relaxing to me.

And I like the composition, simple as it is.

ILoveGeniuses 16th April 2013 03:17 PM

i cant quite make up my mind on it. Still i think this over releasing too quickly isn't doing wonders for her. She should go at her normal snail pace like she always has done.

AyuHamasaki01 16th April 2013 05:45 PM

Contrail is okay. Nothing special.

& + H 16th April 2013 09:14 PM

Too quickly?
Didn't we always complain that she doesn't release enough?

adantatu2 16th April 2013 10:53 PM

She isn't releasing a single every month, i think she is just releasing stuff like any other normal artist

Delicious n Bold 16th April 2013 10:53 PM

At least the spaced out releases were good.

the dog song > everything after uncontrolled.

Not Fade Away 17th April 2013 04:46 AM

I love it....but....I love everything she puts out, so my opinion doesn't really count I guess.

yoshino 17th April 2013 09:36 AM

I just read this post that says Midas Promotions is a liar. The company may be a scam. O_O

If that is true, I'm also kinda surprised at what that promoter is doing. The concert is just next week and this episode isn't over yet? What are they up to!! I'm angry just when reading it.

SolarAngel 17th April 2013 10:21 AM

^ I get the impression they are trying to salvage things with the Japan side. I think they would rather do that than call the whole thing off and refund all the tickets. Since they also brought in LunaSea I highly doubt the company is a scam. Probably communication broke down horribly somewhere along the way.

Having been to the Misia, Luna Sea and L'arc en Ciel concerts, I don't think the ticket sales have been crazy good. For Misia, I heard there were a lot of free tickets given out and the crowd was so lacklustre I was pretty sure no Japanese act would want to come again. As for Luna Sea and L'arc, it looked like only 50% capacity was filled and they actually had bumped us up to fill the seats in front for L'arc. I don't understand, since when I purchased the tickets, I was informed that all the tickets for the highest 2 categories were sold. Seriously hope all this confusion won't deter bigger acts from coming in the future.

chocopockymaster 17th April 2013 04:08 PM

I mean, they're the concert PROMOTERS. A tour wouldn't have been announced in the first place if Namie's management company hadn't judged there would be enough interest in one, so if ticket sales are lackluster blame falls equally, if not moreso, on Midas' shoulders, imo. They're not doing their job and actively promoting the concert like they're being paid еее to do. :shrug

ILoveGeniuses 17th April 2013 04:20 PM

As much as this concert doesnt affect me those ppl need to get off their butts and start doing their jobs properly.
