I'd rather she wear simple, grown-up outfits like these than get lost in huge complicated stuff.

But I really love stuff like the A museum "A Song for XX" outfit where it's definitely crazy & interesting, but she's definitely still there - it's not a big huge poofy complicated decked-out thing you can barely see her in :P

I'd like to see ayu wear stuff like Edea in Final Fantasy VIII, you know? Elegant, badass, gorgeous silhouette, and unusual. Some of the so-called "amazing" dresses and outfits she wears are just like, piles of fabric she's fallen into :P I'd rather it be this.

Edea! <3

I don't know, I never care about ayu's costumes during the main show. Only the ones she wears during the encores because those outfits are relatable. I need that FEEL THE LOVE T-shirt she's wearing!

ayumisrael 1st June 2014 06:58 PM

Btw the official setlist of the tour will probably be like 20-21 long thanks to the interlude parts lol.

There was Jump!, Timmy & princess new ballad and another one?

These outfits are very Madonna's MDNA tour, so I "like it" but it's now "WOW". I don't know why she didn't choose these outfits:

That blue dress would've been amazing for TO BE. It's a ballad, you don't need to move around a lot anyway. I can't remember the last time she had a "WOW" outfit. Was it 2008 with Marionette?

When you really look at it, most of these outfits would end the end be considered special or new for her in the context of her concert. They wouldn't pop out. The only one that would would be the "avante garde" look. And really, it would need a pretty damn creative performance otherwise it would look like her wearing a silly dress. I think the red dress suits to be and hello new me better anyway.

Which is why I like what I can see fro the current outfits. They look cool.

Really different outfits would be great for a cover and booklet. And a PV.

Haha yes please!!

Honestly, I'd rather see Ayu dressed in darker, more simplistic clothing than something tacky and colorful we usually get. At least all of these outfits actually look nice. That's a first.

Isn't Alvin the Creative Director of the whole show ? I mean he's not just in charge of the outfits but he runs the whole show, including what Ayu and her dancers have to do on stage, the lights, the settings, etc.
And as far as I know he doesn't make clothes, he's just a (very talented) stylist.

truehappiness 1st June 2014 08:46 PM

He makes clothes. He does a lot of things, actually. (makeup artist, stylist, costume/accessory designer) We've seen him as a stylist and as a designer (blue water dress) so far. Don't think he's done Ayu's makeup yet since other people have been in charge of that, but he started out in makeup before branching off to styling/fashion design.

He's so brilliant! I wouldn't be surprised if he orchestrated the setlist. I don't think it's a coincidence someone new in the lead = suddenly a whole new setlist.

Damn how much I wish PECO, Shuya and Gomi were in this... It would've been one of her best concerts ever! Those 3 are such lovely people.

Ashen Twilight 1st June 2014 09:31 PM

I miss PECO so much.... :'( I never got the dislike for her. She may not have harmonized the best with Ayu, but seeing her, Princess, and Ayu enjoying each other's company on stage was fun to watch.

I never thought about that... maybe it's true he's partly behind the unusual setlist!

I can barely see those outfits, so I can't really say if I like them or not.

Those costumes are "revolution" my ass xD Alvin, i hope you did a better job for the final that goes on DVD eventualy. I wish these kind of people wouldn't talk big before they actually do it. Cuz damn then you have to pull it off, for EVERYONE.

OyTony 1st June 2014 10:45 PM

That black outfit where she has a hand around her waist looks promising. Can't wait for the DVD/Blu-ray. =D
Thank you for the pictures Yannetakizawa.

I think he's done a good job. A lot of what we're not seeing is probably in the detail which you can barely tell from these photos of photos.

BlackSilence 1st June 2014 10:57 PM

i hope i will change my mind after we get better quality stuff. i really put quite a lot of hope in this guy lol

...who is that at card number 7 and above number 7? *______* Anyone knows?

jbrat2219 1st June 2014 11:47 PM

Chances are, no one will be satisfied with his work regardless of how over the top or simplified his costumes are. If it had ayu's name on it, it's an automatic "not good enough." At this point, I'll be happy if she looks decent enough. I'm more interested in the performances and to see what he did with that (if he was involved at all).

ZIN and Kazuma.

Also I think the dancers got training with Cirque/Disney performers for this show.
