As for Ayu singing in English I think she said somewhere she can't express herself well enough with that language but, then again, that was before she fell in love with the idea of living in LA. Personally I don't care what language she sings in, I'm just glad she haven't retired yet due to all the critisism she has gotten lately.

I honestly don't like the original WE WISH. There's something about it I don't like. The Ramon Zenker remix is pretty good though.

At least Ayu would know what she is singing...

I have more faith in ayu's English if she were to get a great vocal director or whatever. Also like Andrenekoi said I'm 100% sure Ayu knows what she's saying. She should make an English song for shits and giggles. Lelio 2.

It's so weird to see Ayu's full music videos on YouTube. You'd think that Slavex was up to something.

Step by step really has such a lifeless arrangement. The song itself sounds like a fan add "full version" where the same 45 second clip is looped together for an extended period of time. There is very little chance for longevity with this track. I've listened to preview clips like maybe 3 times maximum and now I just listened to the official release and I'm already sick of it.

I miss when her arrangements for summer songs had multiple elements to them. fairyland has that warm, liquidy bouncing ball of sound in the background, and the rest of the layers kind of mirror that motion of sound. Really, it's so well put together that the layers of sound actually paint a picture, so rich that you can actually envision the sound moving and "see" each layer of sound as a separate hue that aids in creating a larger picture.

I do enjoy listening to "Step by step" but I do have to agree. I usually can't hear those kind of layers very well but the contrast between "Step by step" and "July 1st" is really striking. The waves, the soft guitar and all those little sounds just create this wonderful atmosphere of being at the beach with friends and just enjoying yourself. Something that is missing in "Step by step". That kind of sounds flat in direct comparison to "July 1st" and probably "fairyland" as well.
I like "Step by step" but arrangement-wise I would love it if Ayu worked with different people again.

Last night a saw for the first time in full Ayu's 15th anniversary concert and it was fantastic. And amazing tracklist, great outfits and great performance but Ayu herself seem stiff. Like her smile at times was sooo fake. It was especially noticeable during surreal~evolution-surreal. What happend? Anyone knows? Still the concert its great the tracklist alone is just :luv2:luv2:luv2

God I love how much emotion she puts into her live performances. It really shows what a genuine artist she is. Does anyone know what's making her cry towards the end here? Made me tear up a little bit too

I actually remembered to listen to July 1st today - I usually forget until I come on here in the evening lol! I think the decision to include the remastered version with Step By Step helped me to remember.
