thats good they went up :D All the albums above A BEST 2 on the chart except for one album were released after A BEST 2. so I think its very good already its still in the top 20.

Wasn't it only 1 new song?
Ashita e and taisetsuna kimi e. I believe they're both new, but i could be wrong since i don't have her first three albums.

Yeah, they were b-sides and were never released on any albums. (Taisetsuna Kimi e is the B-Side of Butterfly, but I'm not sure about Ashita e)

the concert would do **** all for the DVD sales, this is just selling on her back catalogue alone. This would have owned second sessions easily if it was released earlier and had a ******** of new material.

I think it's unfair to compare AB2 with that -SS- album.

Like, there was a crapload of indirect promotion [12 weeks of singles leading up until the album.. :|] and there's also the fact that Koda was at her peak at the time :|

I found it sort of forgetable. I've noticed that a lot of songs made just for Best albums are sort of lacklustre...

Uhh, sales progressing like expected. Seems Ayu has set a very definite standard on how her recent sales look. I expect the next week drop will be around 40%.

I think it's a bit strange that her best album's are struggling to beat out her latest studio album, though. Maybe best albums are losing their apeal in general these days.

Ashita e is the only new song. It was penned by Tokunaga Hideaki (I think that's how you spell it)

Hmm? Secret ended up selling 670k~, (miss)understood around 880k. MY STORY was released almost 3 years ago now, that's a long period in an artists career. I don't think they're loosing their appeal at all, it's just what happens when an artist loose fans willing to buy the actual CDs. Plus that CD sales will, in general, never again be able to reach the heights they used to a few years back.

That's true... um, my memory totally fails me.

Uh, it should be added to my previous post that I view the two A BEST 2 albums as one album. No matter if it's the same fans buying 2 of it.
