I love how her voice softens when she talks about her kids. You can really tell she cares about them. ----------------- Darren Hayes covered Ray of Light and it sure beats the pants off of Natasha Bedingfield's attempt. Ray of Light was written in a much higher key and Darren has the perfect voice to pull it off like it was intended. ---------------------------- Totally fake, but really pretty don't you think? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y17...a/candyou8.jpg |

even when madge looks 'skanky'... she looks classy. only her can pull that off (sorry ayu) i love the madge/horses combo Spoiler:

Congrats! Love your sig too by the way. I love the way she says "Just watch me burn!" during the Wembley performance of LIWB. It gives me chills every time. :) |

There's a better quality leak of Sing available now. Annie Lennox feat. Madonna - Sing -------------------- Also, I love Kelly Ripa. Her Madonna fandom is freakin' hilarious, she's just like me. :laugh |

finally! cher is like... so over! hahaha i can't wait for a new tour, i just hope it's as good as confessions |
There are rumors going around that say she's calling her next tour "Madonna At 50" but I wholeheartedly believe there's no truth in them. It's way too early to be getting major details like that when we don't have any information on the new material. She's also too creative to give it a stupid name like "Madonna at 50." |
i'm gonna be a typical and say: that doesn't sound madonna-ish, because well, it doesn't like vinyl said, madge can do much better than that... plus how can we be getting info on a new tour when we don't even have a name for her new album? i hope it's not true! thanks vinyl (like partino said the president of madge's fan club at AHS) |

Madonna, The Beastie Boys, John Mellencamp, and Leonard Cohen are a few of the many 2008 nominees for The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Quote:
This is a shoo-in for Madonna! No way she won't actually be inducted! :yes |
Madonna isn't rock and roll, i know you'll disagree vinyl, but I really don't think she is. Madonna is always going to be pop to me. Also, The Beastie Boys are rap, and I don't see how they're on there either. If Madonna wins this, I'll be surprised. |
I agree she is definitely more pop over rock but I think the hall of fame isn't exclusively for rock and roll artists now. To me it seems like it's more of a collection of popular and influential musicians since rock and roll isn't the dominant form of popular music. Afrika Bambaataa is most definitely not rock and roll but he was part of the people who revolutionized DJ culture in hip hop. P.S. Did you know The Beastie Boys opened for Madonna during The Virgin Tour? :) |
She's the Queen of Pop but she has a fearless rebel attitude, so maybe that's some rock-related justification for being considered. Is there a pop hall of fame? |
I don't think there is a pop hall of fame, but there damn well should be! :laugh Seriously though I think The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is pretty much all we need. It's not so much anymore but a lot of people used to use rock and roll as a bit of an umbrella term for popular music, don't you think? Either way like Cyria said, she's got the balls to be in both. :yes ------------ Larger pics from the new 2008 calendar! YAY! I'm so excited to get it! I already have the H&M stuff up on my wall but it will be nice to get them in larger print format. I think June, November, and December are my favorites. January February March April May June July August September October November December |
^^^I'm not gonna look at the pics as I'm unsure whether to get it yet. 2007's was kinda disappointing. Too 'Confessions' heavy. Is 2008's a step up? |
Well the calendars always consist of the pictures taken of her from that year so there's stuff from the H&M campaigns, Live Earth, Ariake, public appearances, and 1 from Confessions Tour. I posted a preview image on the previous page. She's still in a transition year so there's not a bunch to work with yet. |
