Actually, the concert-goers in Japan are very enthusiastic. 0______O Like, really enthusiastic. It takes a lot of energy to be standing up for the entire concert, so that's why people see the A-symbol break as an actual break. I mean, even though it was my first time at an Ayu concert, I had to sit down too. But during all the songs, everyone is always waving something around or clapping. Nobody really just stands around for the entire concert. :O And it's really surprising, because the people who sit at the back are probably the most enthusiastic. XD They sure yell the loudest. And also, whenever Ayu is near to a certain section of fans, they really go crazy.

After going to AT2008 in Hong Kong, I realised just how enthusiastic the Japanese fans were.

emi♡ 6th January 2009 09:40 AM

^really, because they seem really docile :laugh

when I'm at concerts, everyone's always jumping and yelling, clapping and...moshing lol

but I've really only been to rock concerts so...i don't know. The Japanese people seem really quiet and...robotic to me sort of...

The fans in all her concerts always look the same lol

and...damn with all the lip synching arguments in like every CDL thread:laugh Some people need to get over it lol

haha yes I was thinking the same and then I had sing that bit to myself..it confused me for a second though ;)

^^ and that's so true about the Japanese public at concerts, they're truly admiring towards artists and so respectful.
Compared to European audiences the Japanese seems to be more unified as a crowd (during concerts), it's really amazing to just stand in middle of it all, it makes you feel all happy and I dunno grateful? with them.
There are some really fanatic fans and standing next to them makes go all hyper too, it's so awesome! :D
You'll never feel like you're all by yourself.. if you know what I mean.. I love it ^^

But it's good that crowds all over the world aren't the same.

and oh yeah I loved the PCDL main show, so many different songs, many many of my favorites!
some I never heard her perform live and some bits not really sung live ;) but still I think it was amazing! I enjoyed it a lot! :D

And if you go to something like a Morning Musume concert, it's like "holy crap these people are insane - I might die here!" :)

Blasterion 6th January 2009 10:45 AM

I've seen some of their shows... and you might actually die there lol ;)

I'm going to be going on my 6th time to an h!p related concert and everytime, I'm just this little girl that basically gets clobbered by all the guys jumping around like crazy. I must be a masochist to be going again, haha.

So in short, no. Not all Japanese audiences are docile. It really depends on the artist.

noidea 6th January 2009 11:28 AM

I think its a bit weird that she synched UNITE!, i mean, she should be able to sing it, right? She just used the AT07 recording, even peco and princess are playback o.0

elvesword 6th January 2009 11:56 AM

I think AYU did a great job since she chose some many songs that I have never heard before, and though when I turned back to hear the origin of some songs (ex. End of the world), I think the voice of AYU right now is more suitable compare to her past voices~
Anyway, I like her PCDL 08~09, it is like looking back to AYU's work for so many years, which is really a great show to enjoy^^

Who said anything about UNITE recording?????

majrakun 6th January 2009 01:14 PM

Has anyone watched the MC section where the dancers were talking about their new year's resolution? (At least I think that's it.) My GOOOOD, Ayu has a crush on Midoring!!!11! WHen it was Midoring's turn the talk, she joined the audience in chanting,

"MIDORINGU! MIDORINGU! Sumimasen."

And then when Midoring started talking she was like, "Kawaii, Kawaii~ sumimasen." rofl Ayu

And Ryoji! OMG Ryoji's part was definitely my favourite!

NEVER EVER STARTS PLAYING
moshi mo tatta hitotsu dake
NEVER EVER STOPS PLAYING
Ryoji: Negai ga kanau nara~
*Ayu and dancers ROFLed, LITERALLY.* They actually fell onto the floor, lol.

His singing voice is so smexy :love Now I get the TA message where Ayu said Ryoji should keep on singing. lol

waterballoon 6th January 2009 02:44 PM

:o Ryoji sings!? How was he? Did he sing in falsetto or something??? Hahaha.

Hmm I think I might know what the fans who looked bored are thinking...

"So, when I visit Dr. Yamato tomorrow, I'm gonna tell him that I want my eyes to be as big as Ayu... and oh the nose! As sharp too! And I'll tell Mimi-san that I want my hair to be as secksy as Ayu's!!! And I want her vogue dress! Kawaii!"

*After watching ANGEL'S SONG*

"YES I WANT A FURRY TRANSLUCENT PINK BATH ROBE-FAIRY PRINCESS!!!"

erika_ayu 6th January 2009 03:45 PM

Quote:

Precisely. Now let's talk about the REAL mistakes. Like her horrendous furry pink bath robe *** FAIRY PRINCESS costume in ANGEL'S SONG.
ROFL!! my first thought was VICTORIA'S SECRET!! :luv2

You mean Victoria's Secret has lingerie as repulsive as the ANGEL'S SONG's costume? But it could just be a little better than the A DINER costume... she looks like someone threw a picnic mat on her... =.="

Raleigh 6th January 2009 05:15 PM

Well I wouldn't blame them if some looked bored or tired. We might be sitting down in front of our computers at the comfort of our home but probably it doesn't feel so comfortable to spend a long time dancing and singing all the time :P

truehappiness 6th January 2009 08:53 PM

I think noidea thinks that after seeing the DVD versions for AT07 and CDL07-08 and how avex apparently used the same audio track for evolution that they know all about when things are used when.. which doesn't seem to be the case.

imo, a bunch of the decisions for this concert had to have been made while Ayu was on her pain meds XD

Like, those fairy princess wings. Come on, she TOTALLY decided to add those to her costume like, five seconds before she went out.

Plus, who decided on the shots for this thing XD They like, focused on Ayu's back for like, half an hour total if you put all the moments together.

Key ~eternal tie~ 6th January 2009 10:56 PM

Aww, just watched the PCDL performance on YouTube Ayu was really good, her vocals were nice particularly when she was singing an older song.

The rearrangement for everywhere nowhere was really nice too, And lol, for singing the wrong thing in ANGEL'S SONG, hopefully they'll edit that out on the DVD.

But did anyone notice that Ayu had some sort of glove on to protect the wound. She couldn't even hold a fist properly in UNITE!, she did such a good job even though she's injured. I admire her even more for that.

P.S Did anyone notice that there were 13 different costumes?? That's a lot of changing, nee? ^_^ I especially love the black shiny outfit for Heartplace.

truehappiness 6th January 2009 11:46 PM

Watching the full concert now. It's ridiculously fabulous.

The girl in vogue needs to be like, told that she was on national television and she looked bored just looking at Ayu. Though it's not as bad as some might think, since Ayu was like moving around and every time she did, there was like a wave of screaming. LOL.

Somehow the atmosphere during Heartplace makes the song feel reallllly epic. The discoball + the strings and the lighting.. so pretty.

Whoa, this concert has A STRINGS AND A SPECIAL CHORUS? WTF? LOL.
