Great sales!!!

omg LIVE is seriously my favorite NEWS album; there's not a single song here that I dislike..

To me , nothing still beats pacific in which that was solid from start to the end .

There're a couple of stinkers in their other 3 albums & for LIVE , I think D.T.F should be renamed as W.T.F as I don't know what's going on in there o_O & yeah I think that's the most random song in the album

Others are ok & there're still some good ones here & there

you know what ? I should stop listening to Domoto Koichi's BPM for a while & focus on LIVE xD

I think color is still me favourite album <3
Though I have to listen to LIVE more, but I want to wait until I buy it :/

the Taiwan press for LIVE will only be out on Oct 1st

but since I assume you order your OS press stuff via YesAsia , it will take quite sometime for them to get them listed on their website

not to mention , I realised for Taiwan presses of material YesAsia sell , they tend to price it a lot more expensive seeing that you have to pay the extra cost for the CDs to get transported from Taiwan to their headoffice in Hong Kong before they shipped out to you & the same thing applies to HMV HK too

for me , I just wait for 5music to get the album listed on their website , which should happen somewhere next week

That's quite interesting - except I still haven't listened to the album yet, as I'm still waiting for a FLAC version at JPopsuki...

And as of now, there still isn't any yet...

I'm quite surprised at how well this is selling! Especially since I had the impression their fanbase kind of lost interest in them. But I'm relieved this is not the case in the end :D

errr. don't want to rain on the parade, but color & pacific had the ORICON multiplier x1.75 thing when they were released, so here's the real first day sales of the 2 albums:

color: 83,741
pacific: 91,189

so LIVE's first day is lower than color and pacific's, then? :( not by much, i think. so i guess it's okay, lol.

NEWS never has been a strong seller , be it when comes to singles or albums

but I don't care that much on it since it doesn't = to quality of their material

my younger sister said that they're 1 of the few Johnny's groups that has consistently put out good material from start til the end

I have faith in NEWS. There's something about them that make me not wanna give up on them :D

To me, color is the best album from NEWS... there are sooo many strong tracks from beginning to end....i could have it on repeat for weeks.
Idk.. I'm gradually starting to like more songs from LIVE and realize how annoyingly addictive they are. One reason I am not too thrilled about LIVE is how there are no solos or paired songs... still I guess NEWS makes up for that by singing different genres of songs for variety, right?
My latest fave is the song about no letter contents~~ lyrics are soo sweet.

I guess after doing the whole duo/trio pairings in pacific & colour , they decided to switch things up for a change ?

omg yes I really like Naiyou no Nai Tegami <3

It helps that hip hop rap duo Hilcrhyme wrote & composed it & they did such a great job :D

I don't know if they will 'cover' Naiyou no Nai Tegami in the near future but I will be intrigued if it happens 8D

I hope NEWShfan will sub the DVD!! I mainly started loving NEWS because I watched their concerts subtitled and they were so fun!! I can't wait for their next concert DVD! (and bath scene LOL XD)

恋のABO: errr, i actually think this is one of my least favorite NEWS songs/singles. ever. XD
LIVE: this one is a really high-energy song. this is perfect for concerts! i like this one a lot. i definitely like it more than the little preview i heard earlier.
生まれし君へ: i don't know why, but i feel like i've heard this song somewhere before (whether it be another JE song or somewhere in J-pop, lol). it sounds so familiar! but i really like the song, it's really catchy. and i love the strings in the song. it's very pretty!
Supernatural: this is very laid-back song. OMG RYO SOUNDS SOUNDS SO BAD IN THIS SONG, LMAO. this isn't a "ryo" song. XD but i think i'll need to listen to this more.
秋の空: oh this is definitely one of my favorite songs. they sound so amazing in it! i really like NEWS' harmonies, tbh.
２人／130000000の奇跡: it's super pop-rock, lol. i think it's okay. it's not my favorite song.
Dancin' in the Secret: ouuuu, i think this is a great song, tbh. but i WANT IT TO BE SEXIER. come onnnn. YOU CAN BE SEXY, U KNOW.
ワンダーランド: omg, you know, this had great potential to be an AMAAAAZING electronic, dance song. i'm so disappointed the pop elements overtook it. man...i probably would've ranked this album higher if it was, lmao.
さくらガール: i love this song! one of my favorite NEWS A-sides, tbqh.
BE FUNKY!: great album track. i loved it when i heard it a while back. catchy, great vocals, etc.
D.T.F: NO.
内容の無い手紙: i rank this high with Umareshi Kimi he and Aki no Sora. AWESOME, AWESOME SONG. i really like this type of song for them. if Hilchryme, GReeeeN, etc. would just compose all their songs, i'd be grateful. LMAO.
エンドレス・サマー: i think they guys sound so great in this song. but i'll need more listens.
Share: i'm so glad they released a studio version of this song! great, great track.
Forever (Unplugged Ver.): very nice! i love the original, so i'm glad to hear a stripped down version of this song.

overall, i actually think it's a solid album! but...here's the downfall, i think, to it. the album doesn't really have...the Ai Nante, code, SNOW EXPRESS, Koiyake, Love Song tracks to it. (basically, really stand-out tracks that define the album). i think it's great that it's really consistent though. i wasn't expecting much.

Considering it's been over two years since color and they haven't really been having lots of promotion I'd say that these sales are VERY good! : D
