He thinks that don't has talent to compose music. Spend much time on arrangement. Wanted to be a designer, but color blind was big barrier.

According to L'arc's official Facebook:

L'Arc-en-Ciel's album "BUTTERFLY" was released on February 8th and sold 79,000 copies on its first day. It debuted on the Oricon daily album ranking at number one. Congratulations!

Whoo!

mi|kshake 9th February 2012 11:08 PM

No probs, just came across the translation whilst searching on Facebook for stuff about the London gig.

Love the Kumi CM - used to love that song!

I noticed that Amazon.co.uk have the album becoming available for download next month for £7.49 - bargain! But I need a physical copy - even if it does cost more!

So I'm on the underground making my way home and **HOLY CRAP** I see a L'arc en Ciel poster :thud

I never thought they would play in the UK, let alone a mere 20 minutes away from where I live. I'm looking online to try and get some tickets for April 11th, but I think the best seats would have gone by now.

Not been following them too closely, but was a huge fan a few years back. I can't wait :D

mi|kshake 13th February 2012 11:22 PM

^Cool! Did you take a picture? I checked Ticketmaster a few weeks ago to see if they had sold out yet and they hadn't so you might be in with a chance!

mi|kshake~

HybridTheory 14th February 2012 01:24 AM

^I'll take one tomorrow on my way home, I didn't think to take one at the time.

The best tickets on Ticketmaster are two balcony standing ones...:grumpy Grrr, going to see if I can find something better on eBay...

edit:I might cry...why couldn't I have known about this earlier?! :(:(:(

mi|kshake 15th February 2012 12:02 AM

Has anyone voted on the 3 songs you want them to peform? Need to think about my choices!

At least it's a small venue HybridTheory so you should get a good view!

Has anyone heard the album tracks from Butterfly yet?

That's how I reacted when I found out VAMPS was coming to Hawaii a few years ago... except I didn't find out until after the week they preformed. At least this time around I know that L'Arc will be preforming in Hawaii on May 31st, and tickets don't go on sale until March according to their facebook.

But I wish you the best of luck in finding seats you'll be happy with.

Yes I've heard them. I actually downloaded the album from here on AHS since I was inpatient and didn't want to wait until they delivered my CDs (which finally came about about 12 hours ago). Honestly it would be much faster to ship things directly from Japan to Hawaii. But no they had to ship it to the Fedex Hub in Tennessee first then ship it to Hawaii :rolleyes.

As for the songs well the majority of the album has been released as singles since '08, so there was only 4 that hasn't been officially release. I didn't really like any of those 4 at first, and skipped over them when I listened to the album, but after a while, with the album on loop in my car, they grew on me like all L'Arc songs. Now I can't decide what I like the least anymore.

I think that's the reason L'Arc is one of my favorite bands because I don't think there are any songs of theirs that I don't like. For many other artistes, from both the Japanese and American market, there are usually hits and miss as far as their songs goes. Some are great other I couldn't care less about.

A good example would be Ayu's releases in the last few years(since this is AHS and hopefully Ayu' music would be recognizable by anyone that reads this). I think it started going downhill for me after Secret, and while there are some songs I loved from albums after that I just didn't listen to the album as a whole anymore. With Five I really didn't like any song off of it, and none of the songs strike out as something I wanted to listen to again.
