recochoku digital weekly album chart 5/13~5/19

After the discount period end, A BEST drop quiet a lot but still it's fight for the place on top 50...which is very good for 14 years old album. A ONE back to top 50.

A BEST - 32
A ONE - 34

Pieces_of_SEVEN 20th May 2015 01:22 PM

A BEST is relentless!!

LONJJONG 26th May 2015 03:32 PM

A ONE is back to #41 today.

The sales dropped a lot this week :(
#80 with 648 copies sold. Total 48,976 copies sold.

Surreal17 26th May 2015 04:01 PM

adantatu2 26th May 2015 09:22 PM

Amen, preach it.

oaristos 27th May 2015 03:59 PM

Back to #41 after #81 is really good! :) I'm confident she'll achieve the 50,000 mark :yes

LONJJONG 28th May 2015 04:36 PM

A ONE outsold WOML by just 2 copies (so far). LOL

A ONE 48,976
WOML 48,974

orbitalaspect 29th May 2015 06:22 AM

Nope.

FINISH HER.

Ayumi sells two more copies of A ONE

FATALITY.

Edit: It's still cool that this is the first year since 2006 that Ayu has managed to outsell a Koda record. That is worth applauding because it is a very, very rare occurrence in the industry. The only other person logging better sales in this genre is Namie, but she had to do a complete career make-over. It's a bit competitive, sure, but for all the crap Ayu gets from every direction for making stale music, it says something about Ayu's talent when she can outsell another diva's record in half the time, even if by a margin of 2 copies.

Not true. Love Songs released in December 2010 (counted for Oricon 2011) outsold Kuu's Dejavu. So it's since 2011. Not sure where the "in half the time" part comes from since WOML has been charting for 10 weeks on Oricon while A One has 7. In the end the gap will probably be between 1000-2000 copies. Don't think it says anything about either of their talent. However in my eyes what it does say is that despite being in the business for 15 years (17 for Ayu) the fact that they can still sell/ship 50k of their records and place Top 5 is awesome to me. Especially considering Ai Otsuka's last album sold 4k and BoA's sold around 13k and both were big competition for Ayu/Kuu just a few years ago. :)

BoA and especially Otsuka were relevant way shorter than the other two. TBH back in 2003 I would've thought Ku would end up like BoA, I was wrong though as it seems she still has a relatively strong following which, in Japan, seems to be pretty hard.

This forum is "ayumi hamasaki sekai"... I GUESS IS OK TO CELEBRATE HER A TRIUMPH ABOVE OTHER JPOP ARTIST with this release, nobody is talking shit about nobody here, stop being such drama queen, because an Ayu fan celebrate if she sell 1 or 3k more copies.

AyuGAME 30th May 2015 04:13 AM

^Agree...It's confuse me as well...That we can't celebrate something that we call God in this forum. Sometime it feels wrong to praise her or like something from her. It's weird...this is Ayumi forum, right? This is her sekai...her world...she is the ruler in this forum...not the other artist.

Ok..you can say...that we are blindly following or liking her...but well...if we like someone then we will like everything about that person. (Although I believe I'm not blindly like what she release, I have a WIDEEEEEE variety of Jpop artist even Kpop artist...but still she is my forever Goddess)
