She must be fueled up, releasing songs non-stop since last April. When was the last time she did that? Feels like Distance to DEEP RIVER era, the time when she kept on releasing new stuff :P.

Can't judge the song right now but it does sounds like her old music (sorta...). I have been too used to her melancholy since last year, and I feel like I'm not ready for her joyful/mellow tunes yet :P lol.

I'm still waiting to be surprised by a single. The new singles are beautiful, but so ... tame? I know she's grown up, but I guess I'm holding out for a more uptempo / experimental track.

^^ I feel the same, as well. I like "Forevermore", but I'm not blown away by it. That's why I was a bit disappointed that, at least so far, "Anata" is sounding like it's another ballad/mid-tempo song.

Yeah. I miss those intense spirit-blowing Utada Hikaru songs. Although the recent ones she put out were really good

Probably hikki wanna relax for a bit after making a lament for her mom. Hopefully we'll get something more intense next year (if she finally decides to do KHIII, or maybe Eva 3.0+1.0 will be out next year...)

People change you know? I love her songs from DEEP RIVER and ULTRA BLUE, and even her RnB/hip-hop early days, but I already accepted that we may never listen to those types of songs from her because she's older, she's been through a lot, and maybe she doesn't feel like releasing stuff like that anymore. And that's ok.

It would be sad if everytime she puts out new music everyone starts complaining again about her sound not resembling the old stuff...
