It actually reminds me of western pop songs, Brit pop to be exact, not Kana Nishino or any J-Pop.
With English lyrics I could easily see this being played here on the radio.

It only took me two plays to fall in love with We'll Be OK. It's a different type of summer song, fun & mature at the same time. It gives me both Come Over / Merry Go Round vibes (I'm still a bit salty that it was not performed live and seems to be completely forgotten already).

the song is very refreshing and i'm happy she went that way. also if she did that outdoor cover because of fans requests i wouldn't be surprised if she's using those FC polls from 2020 for this years release …

I learnt from experience that sometimes it's better not to listen to songs so early prior to the physical release

And I think due to that , I did not like re(CORD) as much as I wanted to except for Merry Go Round :@

I do get what you mean about listening to a song earlier. This happened to me with ayu's LOVE again, Kuu's re(CORD) and also a bunch of albums which had many songs released earlier as promo singles or whatever, even with artists from the USA or Europe. The whole album feels disjointed at first when this happens, and it makes me not want to revisit it as I would.

I understand, the same happened with me back in the day with TRICK, with all the singles and radio leaks it only had like 2 or 3 new songs, and I was kinda over by the time the album was released.

Here it is the interview part, it doesn't includes the song for obvious reasons.

Although in a way it was quite nice because we were getting stuff constantly, keeping the hype ongoing. I'm kinda nostalgic, but at least Kumi is still releasing pretty often.
