the FC version of TABOO with the clearfile sold for like $75 USD on eBay... and it originally cost like $10, i felt sorry for the person who bought it.

Yes.
Unfortunately stans became a new trendy word for obsessed fans.
kuu fans (though there's also kuuters), ayu stans, namie stans, hikki stans whoever stans.

I read on JPM that someone explained that it's from the song Stan of Eminem. Like a fan that would die for the artist he/she's got an obsession to. =P
