I don't think there's a quitting rumor yet, just a report that he was absent from a pretty important rehearsal. Where would they source this information anyway?

realistically, ayu and maro probably won't last all of next year. its sad but thats reality.

Maro isn't going to be on stage, but he is now a 'choreographer' for Ayu instead. It also appears that it was Ayu's decision to remove him from the show.
