It didn't appear to me that ayu even sat at the tables at all. In past shows you could easily pick her out, but yesterday I didn't see her till she actually performed.

nothing to do with her one deaf ear... nothing to do with warming up her vocals... nothing to do with her being nervous... nothing to do with her as a strongest or average or weakest vocalist etc AYU's mind and heart to sing and perform is not there....

I'm very late but I just want to say that she did amazingly well in the part of vocals in the Heyx3 perfomance of Song 4 u.

The scenario was quite gross, but oh well.

off topic= on the other hand, Koda Kumi sang solo - Ai no uta -, and in addition she also performed with other 2 acts... great lives and vocals on her part in FNS Music Festival 2012

Ayu has never been able to sing SEASONS well live. Even when it first came out she sounded horrible /shrug

Thanks Zemus. The live really wasn't that bad. It's the same way she's been singing SEASONS for years, imo. It's a just shame the song doesn't work well with her new vocal style.

You're right, actually. It's the only song she ever lip-synched on TV as well.

^ No. I believe it was one of the MUSIC STATION performances if I recall correctly.

^ There was also one on a much lesser known show called Music Museum, if I remember right.

She actually performed Seasons acappella on FNS in 2008 and it sounded good.

Had to to check because it's been awhile since I last watched SEASONS TV performances. Yeah, it's definitely Music Museum and not MUSIC STATION.

Her TV lives sounds weird to me... it sounds like she's stressing too much on her throat/nose? I don't like the vibrato too :no

I find that her acapella performances of most songs (especially at the ASIA TOUR 2008 stops and the one Present performance at AT09) are reaaaaaaallllly good. I think she just does well in a very stripped down setting. It probably also helped that she would have been singing for like 90-100 minutes straight beforehand! Rewatching the SEASONS from 2008, that was during her a-a-a-a-a-a-aaa-a-a-a crazy era... she had also regularly been on TV later that year, iirc after not showing up to anything after a CDTV Mirrorcle World.

I'm hoping she does an acoustic set at CDL this year!

As for her old vocals in 2000~ish, I don't want them back. She was so nasally back then... like she was singing out of her eyeballs.

but the way she looked at FNS was fantastic. that cute pinky dress just reminded me of good old Ayu.
