Her last album was 十念 thought in a decade. It was only released digitally on November 24th, 2017 and had 11 songs.
A very limited physical release has been released on a Chinese site at some point.

Her next (album) release is supposed to be a Tibetan album.

That's the way it is in Mainland China now. Albums are expensive to produce and not profitable at all anymore, so singers release singles -for the most part theme songs for movies, dramas, games...- or EPs at best. Album releases are kinda scarce.

Not dying... I'd say evolving. Money comes from endorsements, events, tours, TV appearances, etc, not really from album sales anyway...

Another "popular" thing is to release an album in 3 (or 4) parts digitally (so 3-4 EPs of 3 or 4 songs each). Singers Han Geng or Chris Lee for instance have done it in recent years. Han Geng was releasing one EP per month, and Chris Lee one every 2 months.
G.E.M will do it this year as well to celebrate her 10th anniversary by releasing 3 EPs. 1st one will be released at the end of the month.

Ugh, that sucks! I mean, the news (to me) about chinese singers releasing more singles than albums. Usually, when I try to get into new chinese or... any other act in the world, I listen to albums, not single songs. I hope alan one day, goes back to Japan.

Anyway, is there a hard answer about why she went back to China? At the time, I remember some people saying she missed her family, or something. Was that true? Did her contract with avex expired?

I highly doubt she will come back to Japan... She created her own label and can release the music she wants now in China. It would be much harder to do that in Japan.

Since I am an albums person, I was wondering, all those single songs she releases, end up in an album? I mean, maybe the songs in Thought of a Decade were released previously and I just don't know. Or those single songs never end up in an album?

From what I noticed, most of the time, most of these singles never end up in an album (especially the ones which are theme songs for dramas, movies, games, whatever).

龙女 Dragon Lady was a theme song -composed by Kazuhito Kikuchi- released a few months before thought in a decade. It ended up in the album but the version featured in it is a bit different than the single version.

心花 was a single released in 2016. 幻梦 was a single released in May 2017 (back then it was already introduced as a song from her upcoming album).

Finally, several singles have been released to promote the new album, such as 美人谷 Beauty Valley, the title song (this song got a re-release afterwards with a piano and an erhu version) for instance. If I remember well there were 3 or 4 promotional singles before the actual release of thought in a decade. They have all been deleted since then on Chinese sites, because they're in the album I guess.

About the songs released before the album, I guess they were meant to be just promo, and now that they're available for purchase, they decided to stop people from getting them easily.

Perceivable but Indescribable is very quiet. Such a perfect song to chill and meditation.
So Hot is a fun song that I wouldn't believe that Alan would have released if someone had told me this some years ago.
