BTW, on another forum someone pointed out that on a Hikki forum, she hasn't been updating her blog lately so maybe she's hard at work on that American album!!

The main reason for Passion not getting higher sales is that lyric doesn't match with the feeling of the music (according to the Japanese). The music itself sounds like a happy tone (or at least upbeat), but the lyric is dark. Of course, hikki was considered an outdated artist during UB era. Japanese thought she's married, and her fashion sense was dumb (even now LOL). Anywayz, to summarize the failure of Passion:
i) The song is weird according to the Japanese (dark lyric with happy beats)
ii) Her image
iii) Declined sales

As for no. 5. Yes, sometimes Japanese artists DO release recut singles. e.g., Ayu's kanariya, Fly high, AUDIENCE, and Daybreak; Ai-chan's 680 yen, kuu's HOT STUFF, hikki's First Love, FINAL DISTANCE (just a remix of DISTANCE anywayz). So it's not weird to see PoL as a recut.

Yea...I figured as much. The last time she updated was to tell us about her winning a VMAJ award I believe.

Also, if u check out her wiki.theppn page, it shows that A&C is going to release sometime in August...but we know that might be fake. Trollers! :rolleyes

That remines me, Ayu was the only one who reached #1 with her recut. Is there a list of the top-selling recuts? I know FL sold 800K copies which leads me to believe she might be at the top. =/

The only Clip collection I want is UH1, 2 and 3 especially 3. :yes I don't too much care for UH4. Colors was the only video that interested me. The others were okay but meh, I wasn't feeling UH4 as a whole. =/

I think 3 has the best set of videos...plus you get Deep River, which I LOVE! I do kinda like the look of 4 because you get to see the makings, which may or may not be good

I agree that 3 has the best sets of videos. I luv 1 as well. The First Love video is so sad. lol I might've cared when if first saw it because Hikki made the video seem so sad...especially the part where Hikki looks like she is flowing (the scene where everyone is all green and everyone around Hikki was frozen and Hikki was the only one moving her lips XD).

As for the making-ofs, They sent me to LOLland especially BML and KT. :laugh Hikki had my rollin' in BML because she was laying on the ground and like she was nerves about the ambulance vehicle hitting her. So was she was laying on the ground, the vehicle was coming and it almost about hit her. <~That;s not the funny part tho. The funny part (IMO) was when she was explaining it and like she shouted something in Japanese like 3 times while they were showing the vehicle coming near her. KT was funny because we got to see Hikki run. :tipsy She had to keep running until she got it right....which was like a lot of times. :laugh

Awww, I like watching making-ofs cause they get to show the behind the scenes and the artist as a real person. I love Kuu's making-ofs and I've seen a few from Ayu and I liked them but never one from Hikki. I would love to see them though.

I like the title "Apple & Cinnamon" so maybe they won't change it. Having a single in August would be wonderful but it's almost July so I would expect an announcement soon if they wanted to set an August release. It would be nice to have something before school starts again :)

Kinokuniya is a good place for J-Pop selection at least for me, although they don't have Leah Dizon :(

It sounds great even if the lyrics don't fit the mood of the song.
It's so underrated! (for the japanese)

The background music was completed for ULTRA BLUE, but she had no melody or lyrics for her part. It was shelved until HS's production began, and she wrote words and a melody for her to sing to to go with the music :D
