"A ROCK" is completely ridiculous. MOON is a pop midtempo ballad :l It's not a rock song, so there's no way an "A ROCK" is on the horizon.

I'm assuming it was a song that she made around the time of Rock'n'Roll Circus' album tracks much like how (m)u and Startin'/Born To Be... were made at the same time. However, the song did not fit into the album or would not have been finished when they needed to have finished it, so she made it a "free chaku uta [chorus only] download" for TeamAyu members to preview.

You translated from the 2ch lyrics right? I think there's a couple of small mistakes in the lyrics they posted though. I didn't hear the "と" in the 2nd line, and I don't think it makes sense there grammatically too. And the 5th line is definitely "幸せだよと聞かせて" instead of "幸せだよと笑って". :)

the only way i'd want another a ballad is if ayu remixed tracks again, maybe bring back a new "hal's mix" or something :)

if it's just a ballad compilation with no new versions, i'm not really interested haha.

I actually did it by ear from what very little Japanese I know, haha. I don't know tenses and stuff, but I could get the gist of it.

of course she'd make new versions, or add remixes, or atleast do something new. every compilation has something new, a best has "new mixes", a ballads had rainbow and sotsugyo shashin, both which at the time were new and unreleased, and a ton of remixes (I'm amazed it's not considered a remix album), a best 2 had part of me, which was an unreleased song at the time, a complete had who "chinese version".

anyways, they would have to remix, or add new songs, or do something, if they just took a few ballads, kept them the way they were, and slapped them on a new album, and didn't add anything new, no one would buy it. except for collectors just for the sake of having it and keeping their discography up to date.

but I want an A Ballads 2 too! (or A Rock, that would be a cool compilation album). Ooh crazy idea. you know how remix albums are always released in multiple cds? "ayumix 2, 4 cds. ayumix 6, 2 cds. etc" well it would be awesome if they released a double disk compilation album. The first cd could be "A Ballads 2" and the second could be "A Rock" featuring her rock songs, new mixes, new songs, some edits. that would be so cool.

When someone said this song sounds like the 90's Ayu I just had to download it. :D Too bad the quality was bad but I think the song sounded interesting. I can't say anything else since it was only a 28 seconds long. I will wait for the full song, if it's ever released. Lyrics sounds beautiful. I don't think I'd want another collection album, unless there are real changes made to the songs. TO BE and SEASONS "2003 ReBirth Mix" were both basically the same.

Well, the thing with MOON's chorus was that it was a free download to anyone who was a member or will become a member of TeamAyu.

It was a way to get more FC members, basically. Who knows when we'll see full MOON. Next month? The month after? Even later than that?

When something is a free chaku uta, it's usually just one chorus/portion of the song. Same thing happened with Sparkle's CM Mix was available free from Honda.

The information at the site basically says "For people who purchased Rock'n'Roll Circus that are TeamAyu members, the yet-to-be-announced/released song MOON's chaku uta (not the full track) is given as a present free of charge!"~

I want a ballads 2 to have an acoustic orchestra version of jewel like what she performed live and the full acoustic orchestra version of evolution. I made a fake track listing forever if she ever made an a ballads 2 that i would love to see but not sure where that went. it was basically a ballad/summer/island type of album. i think that would be awesome. ^0^

haha, i know that she did do those things, but "a ballads" was so long ago, ayu was in a different place. the Japanese music industry was in a different place.

iunno, i just feel like if ayu were to do another "a ballads", remixes would't necessarily increase sales that much--while I'm ok with that, I don't really think avex would do something if it won't increase the income (as much). remixes don't sell anymore; whether it's trance, techno, acoustic, whatever, it doesn't really matter to the majority of people anymore :P

and lots of people release compilation albums without changing any of the tracks. addition of new songs is one thing, but almost completely remixing the tracks of a comp. album doesn't happen much anymore :P

Yeah I don't quite see A BALLADS II coming out of this. It would be interesting and quite nice. I think A BALLADS has the best photosoot/cover ever. It's gorgeous! I remember when I discovered Ayu I was really into the techno/trance stuff so I didn't think A BALLADS would be my style but I wanted to buy it just for the cover/poster alone! Ha ha.

Medium ballad was the "genre" it was given back when it was first talked about in February [?}...

It basically means it's a sort of midtempo ballad. Not too slow, not too fast.
