People seem to complain about the font being too simple, but I'd rather have a simple font fitting with the natural and simple picture instead of something with lots of stars and whirls and jumbled letters.

It's pretty, and definitely better than last summer's cover(s). I like this softer look she's been going for recently, however, it looks too similar to her recent magazine shoots, so it doesn't say 'single cover shoot' to me.

i wonder why she use old font or "already used" font ...
maybe i love the font if she removed the"outer glow" effect...XD

The cover isn't really MOON/blossom themed as people expected but maybe it's better that way. (Sunrise/Sunset tried to be themed but it looks bad lol).

i know the cover reli looks like her recent magazine shoots,but i reli love the softness in it,and how they use the light behind her to reflect the MOON plus, the M font is just exactly the same as the "M single" font so yeah simple and nice :yes

It's really pretty but the earlier ones make it look so underwhelming. And I'm also not feeling the font, feels like an amateur photoshop job with the boring style and gradients, should've just been Ayu by herself. I'm pretty sure the other covers are just going to be different angles or close-up, far away shots. I'm still excited to see them though. :P

Exactly. Now tha I've taken a few more looks at it, I can see it horribly :laugh.

Days/GREEN covers didn't have any Green... Mirrorcle World didn't have any mirrors... BLUE BIRD didn't have any blue birds... why do people assume that the cover is going to be based around the titles?
MOON isn't a song about the moon, it's a bittersweet love ballad, with mentions of the moon yes. And I guess blossom isn't about just flowers, is it?
I think the cover IS Creative! I love the light and shading, the colors, the pose, the eyes and the hair, it all gives a serene and warm feeling, something that does fit with the songs!

I had to look at the cover for a while to get used to it, on some level she looks a little weird to me (her body porpotions look kinda off and her expression looks a little bit too baby-like for me :laugh) but her face just is really beautiful. And the light effect is gorgeous.

Well yes, maybe, but I would find it boring if every single cover was based on the title of the song.
The title "MOON" gives you the image of a moon in your head, right? Why have a cover with an image of a moon, when you already have that image in your head? Why not tell even more about the song, than just MOON, through the cover? I find it creative when artists can make single/album covers that explains the material, instead of telling you the title(s).
Sorry for the rant. :dead2 I just find the cover fits perfectly with the material, and feels a lot more creative then just saying "Hey, the titles of the songs are MOON and blossom, so why not have a moon and some flowers on the covers?" and then doing just that. It doesn't feel all that creative to me, but that's my opinion, and everyone else has their own opinion. Nothing wrong with that, of course. ;)

I think she looks lovely. The font is a little silly, I don't know if the glow helps anything. There's something strange about the close-up though. It's as if they picked the wrong scope and they should've either zoomed in more or zoomed out more. Hmm.

Ah well. I still think the cover is fine, and besides, I'm not ordering CD + DVD >.< I wonder what the other covers will look like...

Its almost like (on her left eye) there is too much of an upwards curve on the inner eye. Does anyone else see it?

i love this. because its so natural and simple but in a beautiful way. and its not predictable like having a moon or flowers, etc in it. its just this really pretty ayu. it doesnt even have a summer specific feel to me. it could be spring or fall imo. i love very much.

I have to laugh at some of you people. You spend the past 2 weeks shouting "COVERS NOW! COVERS NOW!" and then when they come out you hate them. What did you expect; that ayu would lift the idea you had right out of your head??

I love the covers because I think I'm one of the few people that don't mind what the covers look like as its not what listen to music for! I think its just me but when I buy singles/albums is normally because I like the song, call me crazy. If I want to look at a nice picture, I'll look at a model.

Also, if ayu had of put a moon on the cover, you know there would be 101 complaints about how she's just copying Koda Kumi's MOON cover. It seems people only ever want something they can complain about then say that they are awesome fans because they bought the single anyway despite everything they think is wrong with it

And for being simple....fairyland/alterna was simple and brilliant. For me it's ok that only Ayu and her face is on the cover. It's just her dead expression and the overuse of photoshop that I don't like. She doesn't look simple and natural to me. And somebody wrote something about her eye. I agree, it looks strange. No you don't have to like the cover and yes you can hate it/be neutral, but people should just face some facts and give up. Her covers haven't been amazing since RAINBOW, it's always her in a costume/dress with some background. Her covers aren't really creative and haven't been for years, so there is really no need to expect that much. Yes she has a dead expression and fish lips, I though we've been thru this so many times, yet we're going in circles once again. So instead of just throwing the same arguments people could simply say "I like them" or "I don't like them" and give the old topic a rest :rolleyes (Yes the forum is meant for discussion and yada yada yada...)

There's no satisfying everyone, people will find something wrong or something they don't like in anything anyone does. I'm glad she played it safer this time and her covers lately have been rather simple. The boldest one being RnRC. I don't think her team has stopped being creative or trying something new. I just think for this Ayu era she's keeping things simple and calm. And even if you don't like it, you have to admit, it's different. Even some people say it looks like a magazine shoot (which I think lately have been great).

I think complaints about photoshop should be BANNED. Seriously, people sound like a broken record every time a new shoot for anything comes out.
