That's a really good painting :). DEEP RIVER is always my fav cover :D. It matches the theme of the album so well. My only suggestion for the painting is that you can make it a bit darker (the mood?), cuz hikki gives sadder feeling.

I think only COLORS stinks of DR material...and everyone was pretty opposed to it being on the album. No one felt it fit.

I'd love DR to death as an album if it didn't have Shiawase ni Naro, Tokyo Nights, ASAP, and Play Ball.

I love Kairo with a passion. Ultra Blue Her whole discography is awesome. For me, she's the only solo artist that has a solid discography. Almost every single song is amazing.

I think someone told me that so long as it's not recorded, you could cover a song from an artist without permission. I don't know how true that is though.

The chorus is in English, the rest of the song is in Japanese.

I have no bad words for Hikki's albums or singles. She's one of those few artists who has absolutely flawless discography. I think that every song is awesome (yes, even her English work is flawless in my eyes lol). I haven't been listening to her music so much lately. Gosh I need to get myself back together and concentrate on amazeness that is Utada Hikaru. XD

Btw, did I say that Sakura Drops' English version was hideous? That singer who did it didn't do great job on the complicated melody. It was horrible. :D

TBH Passion could have squeezed in DR somehow. It's kinda like Hikari part 2 in some respects. Passion is like an ethereal pop ballad, perfect for DR.

It's ALL square enix. Tetsuya Nomura does not know that he's human anymore and spends his time daydreaming that all his projects he wants to make are complete.

Both songs are for Kingdom Hearts, so they may share some elements. But arrangement wise I think Passion fits UB more, and it's the best choice to close the album. The only songs in UB that I think it's out of place are COLORS and Dareka. COLORS feels like belonging to DR, while Dareka placed in the wrong section of the album. These two songs kinda ruin the flow of the album.

I adore Kairo too. I think it's beautiful and lovely just like the rest of that album.

DR is nice and a great album but for me it's tainted with songs that I really don't care for, like how I don't care for many of her early songs from First Love and Distance. But I love Tokyo Nights, Sakura Drops, letters, etc.

But nothing beats UB for me :)

ThisX10000000. I feel like I've been waiting for Vs. FFXIII for years now (probably because I have - and I think they've even changed the name of it to 14 now, right?).

Sometimes I really feel like Nomura should go back to only doing character design. He gets in over his head with all this other crap and then ends up making the same games only with slight differences (ie: the million kingdom hearts versions). It's no wonder they keep using S&C and Passion in their promos for Kingdom Hearts -- nothing has really changed about the game lol.

Alright, mini-rant aside, DR will always > than UB for me. I love Ultra Blue, butttt I love more songs on DR as opposed to UB.

Hikari was never made for Kingdom Hearts though. It just happened that someone over at Square Enix/Disney liked it.

I can't really remember about the details of creating Hikari. I just remember that she couldn't fit the Japanese lyrics into the chorus in the original melody, so she had to remake that part, and the original melody was used on Uso, so that that melody was included in the album production.

Well, since COLORS was made after DR, so it doesn't matter after all whether it fits DR or UB. But I think she should just leave it in single collection. I dunno why she always wanna put all the singles into the albums. I can see FINAL DISTANCE fitting into the flow in DR, but COLORS just didn't do the same thing in UB.

Ah actually I never thought of that. I dunno about that cuz I think One Night Magic flew quite well with Kairo. I think if One Night Magic --> Dareka --> Kairo, that would be fine, as long as she dumped COLORS from the disc. I love COLORS so much but I just think it's so out of place in UB.

And This is Love... I dunno but it always remind me of traveling somehow, and since traveling is one of the masterpieces, so I dun love This is Love as much.

I actually would like to play the other games, since I enjoy that series a lot and I'm not that seriously into video games, but can manage KH. At least Birth by Sleep since it's a bit more important imo. But buying DS, 3DS, and PSP isn't worth it to me since I'd never play them. I'd like to play the new game too. But oh well. I'll wait til we get something on PS3.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is perfection imo. I can't even express how much I adore this game. I love it more than I love the first KH (which is great too, but I have already finished it like 500 times so lol). What I love the most about KH2 are the new special effects, awesome music, Organization XIII and that huge amount of humor. It's just a awesome game and I laugh every time I see some funny stuff. And of course, this game has Roxas so it's enough 'cause Roxi is such a bad ass.

Birth By Sleep is awesome too. I played it with my friend and we are complete Ventus fangirls lol. XD I'd like to play 358/2 Days as well, but I can't because I don't own Nintendo DS. I really hate that they make all these spin offs for a different consoles and main games are for Playstation. -.-

And imo Passion fits ULTRA BLUE perfectly. It gives the album a epic closing that I really love. :)

I agree on KH2. I thought it was an amazing game. I actually felt like it was a step up from the first one. God...that was so long ago now though :(. Funny enough though, I preferred Hikari/Simple & Clean over Passion. Passion is epic, but for some reason I always found Hikari/S&C more appealing. I guess it's that I found Passion to be a little too long & somewhat boring.
