Kuu's summer singles always have sexy covers. Except I only liked the CD+DVD version of 3 Splash that had the remixes. But, I love Freaky, Gossip Candy 4 Hot Wave... Oh man, I love everything that 4 Hot Wave is.

She did have a photoshoot months ago though didn't she? And she had one this week I think? So it could be either. To be honest it could still be a sexy cover, but probably like a portrait so they're not showing her stomach if it has gotten bigger by the time they shooted, OR they could have just used clothes to cover it up? Hhahahaha. Or maybe it's like, a photoshop montage of all her summer singles?

I wonder, are the lyrics to the English Versions of Kumi's songs available? Like, how she recorded songs like Twinkle and Real Emotion in English, as well as Japanese. Not the translations, the original English lyrics.

I have first press of affection [Japan Press] and TAKE BACK US ed (6 tracks) and none of them have lyrics of the songs. I was really mad when I opened affection booklet and saw there lyrics are not there. wtf
So should really thank all people who wrote down those lyrics. Not to mention that her English was pretty bad back then |

Though I like the vintage look of the cover, her wig looks terrible........ But the new song is AMAZING! It's a cute song but it's still upbeat and hot :D High hopes for it and the PV. Also I was expecting more tracks to be include. According to google translate, the old tracks will be in a non-stop mix, I like this

So that's Beach Mix...
Its basically a super single, lol. I do quite love the covers, they are fun and cute. Considering they were likely taken during her pregnancy, not much of her body would be shown. I would not be impressed if this was a regular release, or if she wasn't pregnant. I'm also super curious as to what the translation of the DVD is. The name of the song reminds me of the Britney Spears demo song "Whatchu Sippin' On?". The song gives off that same dancy cute vibe too. As far as Dejavu, there are a number of songs on that album I really love. In order of tracklist: Pop Diva, Lollipop, Okay, Aitakute, Passing By At the Weekend, Melting, Hey Baby, Anata da Deke and I Don't Love You. All but like, 3 songs. That being said, save for maybe Hey Baby, they are not my favorite Kuu songs. So, I think its really good, but it doesn't give me that overall tingly Kuu feeling, the way like, Secret or Kingdom does. |
The preview of Whatchu Waitin' On? reminds me of Love Technique.
A fun song with a heavier dance beat in the background, but with overall cute vocals. Hm, could be great in full. But also bad. XD |

At the end of the preview it sounds like there's starting a kind of rap from Kuu.
Interesting. Koda Gumi calls it a new album. There isn't a First Press mentioned, but FC goodies. A poster for playroom and I think it's a special magazine for Koda Gumi, don't know exactly. |

Who knows what an album is to Kumi. She releases an album with 100% new material and calls it a best album :/ This "album" is pretty much 2 tracks. It reminds me of one of Ayu's singles. One new song plus a megamix of other summer songs. A DVD with the PV of the new song and... I'm assuming live summer performances from a-nation. Glorified single. Though, depending on the DVD content I will probably get it. |

Ahh I love the 'Whatcha Waitin on?', preview! It reminds me of Lady Go! The more I listen to it! :D I love it, very upbeat and cute, I love the electro instrumental beat! Very summery and something different yet familiar from kuu, I can't wait to hear the full! I agree it sounds like she's about to go into rap for the verse at the end, like in Love Technique. :) I do think the tracklist could be better. :/ I am happy Heat, D.D.D, Cutie Honey and Hey Baby! Are on there though! But yes, I looks like they tried to do a mix of sexy and cute songs, but I do think they should have put more songs like Lady Go! (especially!), Lick Me <3, Juicy and Hashire! on there though...Although it'l be interesting to see how all the songs mix together, as they have chosen them for that. I'll look forward to listening to them together. :) |

they have the cds on cdjapan right now. Doesnt say if it has bonuses or anything. I wanna wait and see if there is anything worth getting. Im so on the fence with this album.. I dont get remix albums (or I havent yet) but I get all the bests.. so what is this technically? All her bests have one new song and none of theses songs are remixed..........so yea im not sure!
