Oh, I missed Ayu so much during A-nation in Osaka! I was kinda expecting her to appear, because this event feels weird without her:-) I hope Ayu will attend more stadiums next year. I wonder what she's busy now with when her tour is on hiatus till September.

I don't understand why she's going on ONLY ONE... I mean, previously we would see her in most a-nation shows prior to this - but I don't know why she's really "cutting down"... Maybe it's up to her how much she wants to go, and for sure we can't adjust how her schedule goes...

Hasn't it been that Ayu has only attended the last few shows for a while now? I seem to remember her only having 2 or 3 dates the past few years, but I could be wrong.

Think...that incident with the whole DBSK and Ayu thing...made her just not feel like performing in a-nation that much?

Its sad that she is only do one show, but maybe she is getting ready for a super show next year? New Album, tons of singles... her 15th year better be epic.

^ Ayu always performs last, but because DBSK and JUNO were both there, they put her in the middle of the show - I guess so that they didn't run into one another. Ayu got extremely upset and and posted about it over Twitter. She didn't hold anything back either. (Though I think Ayu and JUNO thought it was because he was a newcomer, and not because of DBSK.) This incident also seems to be one of the reasons she's not replying to fans as much as she used to.

^If I'm not mistaken she was upset by the way her juniors and seniors were being treated in regards to a-nation so she actually refused to go last if I'm once again not mistaken. I'll need to try to do some digging for those tweets before I can say that's 100% correct.

And why wouldnt avex let JUNO perform??

I heard (recently?) that TRF had expressed feelings to Ayu that they wanted to go last, as they're friends, Ayu asked a-nation organizers to make the change, and as they're the oldest performers at a-nation, Ayu was also upset when they were not allowed to do so, instead it was given to DBSK.

But I don't have anything to back up these claims. Just 2ch stuff.

JUNO is the brother of one of the former DBSK members, and now there's an uneasiness between the current members, who refused to switch labels in Korea, and JYJ, who did switch labels, thus removing themselves from DBSK. So there was weird pressure going on behind the scenes of the labels and label mates.

Ayu was upset because he's featured in her song and can't even perform one song with her on stage. Which makes sense, but it was out of her hands. Obviously labels always have the stronger hand haha.

I mean, before the song was released Ayu was even getting tweets from DBSK fans who were all "Why not collaborate with a DBSK member instead of their brother???"--which is a stupid argument, as she can collaborate with whomever she wants to, lol.


ANYWAY, I'm excited for Sunday. Actually it's cool because I don't know any tracklist yet. :D

^You know I could easily believe the TRF thing since Ayu did say this: "The reason of my distrust was because I was suddenly forced to change the set list, and also, the fact that the existence of the seniors (whom I highly think of) and my darling juniors were not respected."

I wonder if there were other things that happened to the other a-nation performers that bothered Ayu. I still love how much she loved Kuu's a-nation performance last year.

So is it safe to say Ayu will again close the show?

Pretty much SM wants anyone involved with JYJ away from Toho and JUNO is the twin brother to one of the members of JYJ (Junsu).
From what I've read SM gave Avex an ultimatum; JUNO or Toho.
So Avex axed JUNO from a-nation and that angered Ayu.
From reading her tweets I think she wasn't gonna perform at all during the Tokyo shows but knew her fans had bought tickets so she instead refused to close the show.

Yup this. Im pretty sure SM was doing a lot of pressuring on Avex and it ultimately affected Ayu's performance. It's really ridiculous in this sense...but we know Ayu, she doesnt stand up against this pressure in the corporate sense.

Ayu never let's people push around the people she cares about.
I'm happy she stood up to them but unfortunately the situation with JUNO hasn't changed.
Avex knows Toho is bringing in the bank so they'll take their side over a new artist any day.

thats pretty sad really.
But maybe he will grow more popular (JUNO) he does have an album coming out soon.

A-Nation is tomorrow, right? I always get lost with the time difference so I'll just ask in how many hours will it start?

Well, keep in mind that a-nation is INCREDIBLY LONG. It's like going to see a regular concert times 2-3? That is likely why the ticket costs so much. You'll be in the theater for like 6 hours.


Yeah, that's correct. She wasn't really being a diva at all, but was really upset so she went second-to-last instead of last. A lot of fans were really surprised when Ayu came out before them that day. I remember reading all of her tweets and blog entries at the time and she said that she was really close to not even performing at all due to the treatment of her seniors/juniors. That TRF thing sounds like it's legit since 'seniors' could imply them being affected by a-nation.

Keep in mind that for almost every a-nation performance that year, she performed last except the last two (or was it the last one?) in Tokyo. The part about the setlist likely refers to avex wanting her to change it from what it was with Why... feat. JUNO to something else.

That would be awesome! I mean them singing together :-) TRF had too few songs in Osaka to close the show anyway :-)

I know Japanese prefer to hear the same songs over and over but I'd love her to keep July 1st but make the rest unique and add songs like + or at least I want to hear some songs from Party Queen .___.

^She most likelly will sing You & Me, something from Party queen (How beautiful you are, maybe, or re-use one of the tour performances) and the other 6 songs will be summer songs/fan favorites.

It's the second performance of Hanabi ~episode II~, last one was in A-Nation 2003 but it wasn't so good, I hope this one is epic :) Cannot wait to hear Brillante as well.
