I loved ESM/the next LOVE too. Both are very unique songs in her discography that show off a different side to her. I was a SLT lover as well for that reason. :)

I do like that most Ayu releases have very different songs from what she usually does for album tracks (kiss o' kill, Eyes, Smoke, Magic, the next LOVE, Sexy little things, Like a doll, do it again, and so on) but we usually only get one or two of them per album which makes them rather special. It's also kind of funny to see people completely against these songs existing sometimes though in some other cases, people loooove them.

Oh, I don't mean a song that sounds like Brilliante, but rather something that has the same epicness about it. Whatever headspace he was in when he made this song I want him in again if he's going to be around.

I always loved loved loved her voice in kiss o' kill.

One of the few stand out tracks on that album, which remains low in my favorites list lol.

I really hate Eyes Smoke Magic. I can't listen to that song. I think, it is the worst Ayu-Song ever, for me.

I honestly feel ESM works well ONLY as a live type of song.

And no, I'd still completely detest that song. For one, I hate musicals and showtunes and this song reminds me of those type of songs so much. The other being that I dislike most of 2001-2002's songs (2003 Ayu was on point) so... don't get sore if the majority dislikes a song you don't.

Nice to hear that at least some people like these songs as well. Because I absolutely love them..Though I feel like I generally like more the songs others are hating anyway XD

I wonder what these highly emotional tweets from Ayu and Naoya are about. In tweeting all this they just make people curious. It really sounds like someone important to them died, or something life-changing happened. I wish they would keep stuff like this private. I do love the next LOVE, but I don't like ESM. I love the lyrics, and they even fit the song in a way, but her voice, the sound effects they just grate my nerves.

AAA isn't a boy band. They are actually one of the rare idol units that has both male and female singers/dancers. Their music is mostly classic JPOP. You should at least try their stuff like 負けない心, 逢いたい理由 (composed by TK), Heart & Soul or ダイジナコト. They were supposed to be a more up-to-date version of TRF and globe, but imo they are way better :) Their music is nothing like Naoya's ultra boring solo stuff.

Its just Timmy's rapping skills, or lack thereof, that ruin it. If Ayu had picked someone else to do it who had skill in that area it could have been good, I think.

The lyrics aren't that bad to me, besides the double negative of "you don't have no choice" so I could see someone else pulling it off. Kuu's Engrish rapping is good in Lay Down.

Besides, you cant really compare the two songs. An English person speaking in simple english is going to sound bad compared to a japanese person speaking in simple english.

Anyway, I said that if Ayu had chosen a better person it would have sounded better. So, perhaps a Japanese person would have been the better choice. I was in no way comparing the songs in any respect besides rapping skills.

Well, my opinion is based on what I don't like about the rap. For me, its simply Timmy's voice/style of rapping. Personally, I think that if perhaps someone else had done it the rap wouldn't get on my nerves as much.

If someone doesn't like it because they just want Ayu on the track then it won't matter who raps it at all.

If someone doesn't like it because of the lyrics being too Engrish or basic then that's due to Ayu's writing and not Timmy's skill/voice.

I don't really mind the rap, but when I pair up Timmy's look and the voice, I can't help but laugh out loud.

I just can't get over the fact that it sounds like a song for a gay porn star.

I was just listening to A Song for XX and realized how bloody painful the autotuning on some tracks is like...holy ****, the autotuning on some Ke$ha tracks is more subtle. i wonder what would happpen if you'd take away stylists, make-up artists, hair stylists & HQ equipment and leave only Leslie & Ayu on the set, i wonder how would his "talent" make it work without all these things, because now, the only times his works looked good, was because of the overall image, nothing spectacular in the photography itself. most of the times he gets bad angles that make Ayu look very very weird.
