yes i think this A Classical should include 2 disc as there are too many songs that must not be missed.

But the description says it's the first classical album since MY STORY Classical, so yeah, it is a classicaly rearrenged album.

Wait... on the poll, they asked for whatever track, like, remixes included. How come? How would they make a classical version of a remix? I think it's only possible to make classical version of the original songs. Maybe the poll was not made for this release

No, this is the same timeframe as A SUMMER BEST's announcement (which also included remixes and instrumentals in the polling), so it should be for this. I think that they also expected most people when asked to choose only ONE track to choose something that isn't a remix.

They also mention in the description that TA was able to choose tracks to be on it.... which they just did.

Maybe Ayu went to France to work with the Orchestre Lamoureux, again!

I wasn't very happy about this at first i admit, but i'm more open to it now. Hopefully there will be a new track or something.

I'm not a big fan of acoustic orchestra versions but if she includes versions like Endless sorrow's guitar version (from ayu-mi-x 4) and No way to say's acoustic version (from the single) then I will love her until the end of the world XD

Really I like AO versions of ayu songs, but none of them are ever as good as the classical versions on MS CLASSICAL

But tbh I really like some of the MY STORY mixes, so if it will be on the same level, I will end up enjoying this album. I hope for a good choice of songs. Annnnnnnnnd I hope they use a photoshoot instead of fancy typography cover. I want a classy-diva photoshoot for this, not a love theme again.

"Acoustic Orchestra" is a very, very general term when it comes to Ayumi. It describes pretty much every rearrangement that includes strings.
While most "Classical" versions are closer to older styles of music, the styles commonly referred to as "Classical Music"(in reality, "Classical" is just one of several eras of music, but it is often used as umbrella term for all of them) nowadays. Most of Ayumi's "Classical" versions rely ONLY on a Symphonic Orchestra and have more elaborate, full arrangements than her "Acoustic Orchestra" versions.

"Acoustic Orchestra" -> modern, simple arrangement with some strings.
"Classical" -> elaborate, complex arrangement similar to music styles from the late Middle Ages and Renaissance.

i absolutaly not excited about this album
ayu's nasal voice don't fit well with classical music for me.
her original tracks are not composed in classical style so the results for trying to make classical her POP songs are just boring and insipid tracks.

There's heavy Baroque and Romance influences in some of her work - both part of the Umbrella term "Classical".
And her voice hasn't been nasal since Memorial Address. :innocent

If this is indeed the case, then all will be good.
I'm into 'classical' music, and an ACTUAL classical Ayu album is like eating chocolate without getting fat.
But if we just get classical versions of songs.... That's like eating leftovers and I hate leftovers.
But sometimes the leftovers are good (like breaded beef cutlets)
And some of the classical songs may actually be good. But you know... Yeah.

Does anyone know, I don't remember where I heard/read this but isn't a lot of the orchestra or strings created digitally in Ayu's music? May be only hearsay.

Also, I'm pretty sure the only songs to feature real orchestral instruments were most of those on "MY STORY Classical." The Lamoureux Orchestra of France were part of those recordings.

Her strings? Synthesized? What? The drums in a lot of her stuff have been 'synth' drums aka programmed as opposed to played by a drummer (but it's probably 50/50 synth drums vs. a real drummer and you can reaalllllly tell when they bring in the fake drums), but the strings are almost always done by a small string group. She used to use Gen Ittetsu Strings, she seems to use Yuko Kajitani Strings now. Outside of strings, she rarely ever has brass or anything... but if an 'odd' instrument is ever brought in, usually they find someone to play it as opposed to using a sample library for it. (Don't look back had an actual sitar and tabla player, trumpet/tuba was in the Broadway section of Party Queen)

That is weird considering that they had strings and brass credited for every song that had them in that album. Anyway, rule of thumb is that when you hear an instrument and don't see it in the list of credited musicians, it was probably 'programmed' by the composer/arranger with a digital version of the instrument.

Oh, and it seems like Acoustic Orchestra only usually ever has strings or horns, MAYBE percussion, and never woodwinds compared to the "Classical" arrangements, which have a full orchestra performing (strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano/keyboard) which is incredibly obvious imo if you listen to ayu-mi-x 7: Acoustic Orchestra vs. MY STORY Classical. Some of her early AO stuff has only acoustic guitar or only melodica/pianica though but would they really count as "Acoustic Orchestra" for some?

sorry but the term "influence" is a "WIDE" word, and her music definitely doesn't sound like Vivaldi, Bach or Haendel (barroque musicians)

and maybe ayu now is learning to open her throat and leaves behind her nasal tone. but let's face it, her voice coupled with classical instruments only sounds like a swan squawking in the opera.

No, it sounds like how she usually sings. Because her voice doesn't suddenly change just because there's different instruments accompanying her.

Some songs would sound really interesting with a classical arrangement. Like Sparkle and Mirrorcle World. I really want to hear Because of You, A Song for XX and HANABI ~episode II~.

I hope there are 2 discs for this album.

1 is mainly for rock /pop songs into classical, another one is mainly ballads into classical.

For some reason I think Song 4 u and Missing orchestra versions will be on this CD. I think it will be interesting regardless :)

i really loved orchestra version, but i really hope that we wont get her nasal voice for some tracks in this album, like in My Story classical, certain tracks had really a great arrangement but then her nasal voice,made it a bit difficult to listen too >.<

There are definitely, strong influences from at the very least Bach in some of her music, not throughout the songs, but partially. And that's already more than 99,9% of Pop musicians can say about their music.

If you don't like it, that's fine, but acting like bringing stronger influences in for rearrangements will not work/destroy the songs is a very, very limited, ignorant and elitist view.

Sparkle: What makes this song good is the production. That heavy synthesizer. Who would prefer a classical version over the original? It'd be such a waste.
