That's probably due to most fans having the intellect to know both her and Avex care alot about the sales, and saying they don't is part of the image they're poorly trying to set. Partly because they know a % of her fans are gullable enough to believe anything they tell her to say and that boosts the sales which they DO care about.

I agree Mannie is a lot better in my opinion.
But I'm starting to believe what saigodansu has been saying this all for publicity. Ayumi got marry to Mannie she put him in every video. A year after she gave us a poor excuse to why they got divorce. Now she has a relationship with Maro that came out of nowhere.He is in all her videos just like Mannie. She puts Mannie's picture on her video return road now Mannie is twitting about her all the time. "we are still marry". Vote for Ayumi etc... saigodansu is right Japanese fans are no longer believing her lies. Is time for the oversea fans to wake up and stop believing all the lies Avex,Ayumi,Maro and Mannie are telling us.
