Assuming they were just singles, adding singles into an album is normal. Granted, we were more or less in the dark about what was meant by mini album--obviously they truly were singles. But since they were really singles, them being included isn't weird. It's just that we weren't informed and therefor it's like we were tricked.

I think the covers are pretty--but it's just like another Love songs.

Maybe I'm not disappointed because a good friend is a really BIG K-Pop fan and she shows me always all of the new releases. Those bands seem to only release mini albums like LOVE and again with still less content.
Her favourite release this year was TEEN TOP's mini album It's


So I was used to this kind of releases and not shocked about LOVE or again, it's a trend I guess. And if this whole 5 releases thing has this overall LOVE again theme I'm not disappointed with the A CLASSICAL covers anymore, 'cos it simply fits the theme.

But Maki didnt put interludes on the album, nor put everything from them in it. And since she was going on hiatus after it, it was actually a kind of a compilation of her avex material with some new songs, much like Utada's singles collection 2. She was not celebrating her 15th anniversary...

im a HUGE k-pop fan. I'm so used to this. But no K-pop artiste has ever led me to buying their mini album or any material persay. I have other reason why so. Ayu's the only artiste whom I would spend money on, on every album release (including the minis) so when something like this comes about, I think its natural that there is disappointment. Branding those singles as minis...now everything has come clear and what will people think? what will her FANS think?

I know we Should have expected and seen it coming. BUT, ayu herself said this project is for her FANS. It's NOT about sales. Why do you bother putting EVERYTHING back into an album when it's about MUSIC?? If she had that much material, make a new mini instead? Perhaps it's just avex's way of making fans listen to these songs but come on, those who really wanted to buy would buy it eventually.

I don't think their reactions will be too different. I can't think of any cultural differences that might lead us to believe Japanese fans have no problem seeing material advertised as mini-albums included in a future album. What the heck was avex and Ayu thinking...?

Well, there are a few good things, at least for me. I like the cover for the 'CD Only' version the best and since that's the version I always buy, that makes me happy. Also, the covers are quite beautiful.

I don't really think it's all that bad. It's not like it's 'good' since this was essentially what most people here did NOT want to happen.

Shame cause if the three preceding half assed releases did not exist, this would be her best album in a while. Maybe everyone who saw this coming will buy this album instead...and maybe that's why her sales are suffering....covers are nothing spectacular but they are pretty.
