Mikazuki was the song that really established her as the singles she released before that were charted OK but not that great

Artistes like Kobukuro & Shimizu Shota have since covered Mikazuki

It's one of her more recent songs but I would give beautiful a try. It is a great showcase of how amazing of a singer she is.

Listen to her album "the beginning"
It's her best work and you're bound to like something on it. It's only 60 minutes long so it's not too bad. Songs like "the beginning" and "tsunagaru kokoro" are really good.

As for her latest work, beautiful definitely is really good. Her older work has... Less personality in it I think. I mean mikazuki is great but it doesn't scream Ayaka. Her album "the beginning" takes her first two commercial albums and makes it into an "indie" type album that combines the best of both worlds without sounding like your typical jpop commercial product. She really did a good job with that album and I'm sad that it didn't sell more because it really deserves it.

Now that we're talking about ayaka, I need her to come back and slay a biT. I'm tired of her releasing basic ass shit (basically all her stuff after beautiful) when I KNOW this bitch can release stuff that will send careers flying.

Yeah, I just pre-ordered the Blu-ray. Had no thought what I want to buy out of CDJapan with the reserve points (with some expiring next month) until this came up... I had a thought of getting Rina Katahira's album, but my mind changed to not buying that album, and then this...first concert DVD/Blu-ray I've ever bought.

I'm disappointed though how the fanclub version (with more bonus footage) is only available on DVD, not Blu-ray. I've been leaning more towards Blu-ray, so why would the fanclub version only be available on DVD without a Blu-ray option?

Japan's charging the same thing for 1,100 yen, or slightly above $9 (based on 120 yen to the dollar conversion), which means they're paying more than us. Why do Japan charge higher prices on iTunes in general?

She included b-sides? And only 5 new songs? Why does everyone always include 5 new songs? Is everyone trying to copy love again or something?
The only good song to come out of this era was beautiful and even with that song she did it even better on 'the beginning'. I guess once you reach the top there's nowhere to go but down, sales-wise AND creativity-wise.
I'm praying to all the gods that the 5 new songs can find the cure for cancer or something. Ayaka has to werk it.
Also with a title like 'birthday song' it can't be anything but worthless. Let's hope Ayaka can serve a true reverse Warholian experience like Otsuka Ai and her toilet paper song.

Just came in the mail. (Or, actually, came directly into the front door since I ordered through CDJapan, got the poster that I won't be opening just yet, and had to be packaged in a case long enough NOT to fit into my mailbox.) And already... #FirstPressProblems

Apparently there was a misprint: Okaeri and Mikazuki mixed up. It was originally printed as "4. Mikazuki / 5. Okaeri", but the actual playlist was "4. Okaeri / 5. Mikazuki", so they added the correct materials, which involves the clear slipcase and a mini booklet that came with the Blu-ray.

Man, those first print mistakes! :D

As for the Rainbow Road covers...MY GOODNESS! One of my favorite covers! :O

ok so No end is not actually a cover, but she used a demo by a friend of hers Tom Collekiyo, replacing most of the English lyrics by Japanese and playing on melody and English words

Although I feel after she came back from hiatus , ayaka's dress sense has come into question in more times than I can count . Like , she's the same age as me but she doesn't need to overdress & make herself look 10 years older

I think they simply chose the wrong shots for the covers, but I guess it catches your eye and is uh at least not forgettable, like Ayumi's "(miss)understood" CD cover.

I might agree with this. A stAtion is an independent label that she created (though it is being distributed by Avex), this was after she left Warner when she said 'she is going on hiatus.' I could guess semi-professionalism...
