tbh her performing evolution in full during both AT15 and SONGS has made me cautiously optimistic that we never have to suffer through that medley again. It was cool the first time...twelve years later I'd say it's lost its novelty a bit. :shakehead

Well I meant it in the sense that it wasn't performed as a medley. It was the first time in ages she sang it as a standalone song instead of with SURREAL.

When she sang INSPIRE in Kouhaku, I was shocked, I hope she sings an old song, but not evolution,SEASONS, SURREAL, Boys&Girls, etc.

I just hope she doesn't sing SEASONS again. I'm starting to get really sick of this song because she performs it on TV so much, which is a shame because it is actually a great song, but enough is enough. She has many other amazing well known songs she could choose from. I mean, if she wants a fan favorite, then bring Voyage or Dearest back, those were performed much less times compared to SEASONS or M.

I'd rather have her to sing M over SEASONS. It was a hit and all, but it's the weakest track from the trilogy imo. Not that it is a bad song, but it is too plain when you compare it to other of her songs, even her hits.

Making a ~likely~ setlist, I would love to see her singing M, Love song and Sbs.

And, are there any chances for her to perform DEPARTURES? I know different artists sometimes sing together at FNS Festival, so maaaybe?

I doubt that she will sing M again for this Music Station performance..especially because she just sang it on her last Music Station performance back at the end of 2014..

Not only possible, but likely IMO. Although it wouldn't be part of her setlist, but Komuro's. He is there for Globe's anniversary and someone needs to actually sing the songs and she has experience singing departures now.

I think it's very likely that she's going to sing DEPARTURES. I'm not a huge fan but wouldn't mind either.

She used to promote singles on TV and sang the same song on many programs many times, so I think that it's ok if she sings Step by step.
And well, classics are inevitable but that most likely what everyone will do there, will sing the classics they sang there thousand times.

And yes, let's not strain it with Wishing~from your letter~Two of us on music station. Barely a chance she will ever do them in her own shows. :P

MSta announce songs for specials or only for regular shows?

iirc they try to announce the songs for the specials, like the Super Live, but usually not for all artists. Like the past MSta Super Live they announced the setlist for most of the artists a couple of days before the special, but not for Ayu and we only found out at the time of her performance.

But since the special is so close, and this one is huge, I think they won't announce the setlist...

I even prefer if they don't announce it. It was such a nice surprise when she performed M and Last minute :)

Okay, that's a surprise. I hope she will nail it. Her live vocal skills have not convinched me lately. High notes are dangerous for her. Praying all the angels in heaven will bless her with all her vocal lessons and skills in her chakra so she will literally blow everyone away at Music Station.

I can't get over AKB having 3 songs. I'm sorry, they are just an idol group with very bad vocalists and very bad dancers whichs popularity is overrated because a bunch of horny old men buying 50 copies of every release. All of my japanese friends either don't care for them or don't like them, because of all the old men following them. They like their idol groups like Momusu or Momoiro Clover Z and so on but AKB? Concidering AKB that important and giving them 3 songs to sing is like shitting on J-Pop and the japanese music scene as a whole.
