It's not that I'm not happy - but what is there to be happy about? She teased the 60th single at the first concert month ago and now we did not even get a date or a real preview.

That there would be a 60th single was pretty clear - should I start celebrating that or what? Its like throwing a party for the next album that will be released someday too.

Corvina 13th November 2016 08:27 PM

You have all the rights to be disappointed.
But you were able to watch the whole Encore from the final date for free today. And if nobody of the western fans, who went to the tour, would have talked about the 60th single being displayed at the end of the shows, you'd only known about it now.
Getting a preview today probably means it's really near. It being shown live at LINE is somehow lika a official annoucement ( as the Encore was cut from the WOWOW broadcast). Also for (Japanese) people actually able to go, another all country tour surely is a big announcement.
And actually I just find it interesting, how differently people react to such things, hence the smiley.

a❤martian 13th November 2016 08:39 PM

I'm happy with the announcement. At least it's confirmed. And sounds good!

kaled kalil 13th November 2016 08:57 PM

Nobody is complaining about being able to watch the final act of the tour, but it's again how the hype doesn't match the announcement (for some people). I feel like complaining doesn't make anyone less fan of her, it's a natural thing to expect something and being a little disappointed if what you expected doesn't happen. It's not her fault tho.

As everybody knows, she will release something eventually, and it's getting sooner and sooner, and at the end of the day we're all waiting for something to happen and everybody reacts in a different way. :)

Isicio 13th November 2016 10:46 PM

What is the major news? 5 seconds of the new single? She doesn't say a date or something about the release right? So we don't have any announcement finally from what I see. We all know she will release the 60th single.

kaled kalil 13th November 2016 11:05 PM

^ The announcement is that she's doing another tour with dates for all the 47 prefectures again next year, and also the new single.

Luck16 14th November 2016 02:04 AM

Just as was predicted, nothing major. I had even forgotten about it lol

Nice that she announced the new tour, so it's pretty much confirmed a new album is coming early next year, as it was already expected.

Yes, I forget it.

maze 14th November 2016 08:05 PM

Omg love that tiny sneak preview of the 60th single, it sounds badasss! And the Birthday Eve perf was so cute, just when I've been listening to this song non stop. You don't know how much I miss her -kawaii- stuff (Milk Tea is also on repeat).

Another freakin long hall tour is not cool tho, imo. I was expecting a super amazing arena tour (again) with less dates for her not to get too exhausted and work more on new releases *sighs* :(

inthezone 14th November 2016 11:30 PM

Wait, 60th single?? Wasn't the last one Hotel?

It's just announced as 2017 tour yet.
Could be a mixed tour with halls and arenas. We have to wait till we get further info.

I don't remember how it was before. But since JAPONESQUE we always got the tour info first and later the one for the new album.

Zeke. 15th November 2016 04:29 AM

The preview for the new single sounds good but I must keep my expectations low; it could be one of those tracks with a great buildup but falling flat in the chorus. It's been aaaaaaages since I loved a Kumi track that sounds like the style this new track shall be in, but those kind of tracks (when they actually are full ON) are my favorite.

KuuXAyu-fan 15th November 2016 05:51 AM

I have to say I'm a little nervous. I'm scared we'll get a limited mu-mo/tour 60th single and the tour will be called Best Single Collection 2 (to go along with the 2nd prefecture tour theme).

We deserve a PROPER (no mu-mo exclusive) 60th single and an album after how boring things have been for Kuu musically since Summer Of Love. Yeah the songs were nice and all but the SOL and WOL weren't exciting releases at all...

Corvina 15th November 2016 07:27 AM

Having SoL and WoL before the BSC Tour, a Best Tour was to be expected to be honest.
This time we only have a single announced. So I do believe we'll get something else before as well (an album probably or maybe another Best, but I don't think this is very likely)

The DVD backcover is so gorgeous :heart Thanks for sharing!

kaled kalil 15th November 2016 12:59 PM

The backcover is great! Love the flying hair. I wish it was curly as the first picture that we got from the tour.

What's up with that DVD/CD of the Tour's documentary? It's weird how on the DVD's tracklist the documentary is listed as a trailer, and I saw on the Italian Fan Club's facebook page a disc with the content. Could it be released with the new album?

Corvina 15th November 2016 01:26 PM

No, it's written on the DVD - the documentary is going to be a limited FC release in January.

Minttulatte 15th November 2016 01:39 PM

I honestly have no issues with Kuu going for another long ass tour next year. She will certainly release a album before that anyway, so I'll just spend months listening to that. Also, I still love the releases from 2015 to 2016 so much that I'll probably listen all of them on repeat along with the new album while Kuu's on a tour lol.

PS. I dunno why but BRING IT ON's been stuck in my head for weeks now. What is this sorcery? :'D

There is all lucky girls too,
And probably all the videos for the encore : at least one by city so more than 47!!
Maaybe one minute each footage but that's ok ! Kuuchan at usj, eating crepe in tokyo street, at yokohama chinatown with mask, ...

Maybe halloween and all japanese events too!

thinkingoutloud89 15th November 2016 08:17 PM

^Maybe they needed a third version fr her next album (although she had a limited live, or?)

maze 15th November 2016 08:36 PM

So guys, do you think an album is coming next? not the 60th single? I personally want her to change her release pattern, a maxi single in february and a new album in the summer would be fine with me. she could pull a black cherry again and start touring later next year

kaled kalil 15th November 2016 08:47 PM

The tour is already set to start in april, so it might follow her usual release pattern. I think she's releasing a single, and then an album. Something like anytime - Kingdom / POP DIVA - Dejavu.
--

Some info towards TBC / I'm Here / The Trip Before I Fall (thanks to Puta do Pop@JPC)

SHINee already released a song with the same list of composers and producers in 2012 called Alarm Clock.

Going on JASRAC, you can find SHINee's songs that are registered, and there is Alarm Clock, with the alternate title I'm Here.

So no, the new song is not a SHINee x Kumi collaboration, and Kumi's version of I'm Here is probably scrapped.

but why was Trip Before I Fall (Alt. title I'm Here) registered already, BUT it got the SHINee feature just recently?!
i mean "I'm Here" wasn't even mentioned as alt. title when it was still Trip Before I Fall back then (even some producers were changed)...

http://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/...psc5a5163f.gif
and you can clearly hear bandboy-ish voices in the short preview...
so i it's still kinda obvi it's the collabo

Ah I see. I missed that part. Well dunno what to expect anymore. Even if it's a collab I hope it's fresh. Tbh though, I dont hear any male voices in the preview. And a shinee featuring would be random, kpop is not as hot as it used to

She's ahead of Momo Clover Z on DVD and they've been ahead of her these past couple of releases. Hopefully she can sell 15-20k first week of the DVD/BD combined.

ALfromHELLSING 18th November 2016 03:39 AM

I think at this point we should just be happy that she isn't retiring after 59th single or going on hiatus. Plus it seems like she's making much more money on her tours & merchandise now rather than on her music. She's kinda like Madonna now, her music doesn't sell as good anymore but lots ppl still wanna go see her live, 'cause she always delivers. If the new single does come out eventually I hope it's gonna be something BIG, like Namie's 60s 70s 80s, with HUGE tie-ins.

The song is a total rip off, but it doesn't take the shine away, it's a gorgeous song.

Oh I know about it, my point is if there were legal issues she wouldn't have been able to use it anywhere anymore. I mean Furtari De... is an alternative version of Yume no Uta but she still performs it, it's just Yume no Uta was replaced with Ai no Uta. Sadly.

As for the original, it starts well but the build-up after the verse doesn't go anywhere. It just dies out. I liked it when it started playing but chorus is so weak, while Yume no Uta has an epic chorus and that ending always gets me like wowza. Not to mention that misono's 0-ji Mae no Tsunderella chorus sounds like Yume no Uta as well & Kumi even covered the song. lol Although her cover sounds less like Yume no Uta's chorus.

sorry, but Shinee are great and have great and stable album sales, their albums have good sound too, and they have nice personalities, and which is important, a very good image.
I'd be happy if she picked their sound, for example.

she's going on tours because it's the only thing that brings real income, unlike the releases, and she can sell the merchandise and her eye contacts whatever there.

kaled kalil 20th November 2016 04:26 PM

^ Her last studio album sold as much as the last SHINee album, so whats your point? It's not like Kpop is a big deal in Japan right now.

KuuXAyu-fan 20th November 2016 05:49 PM

Do you guys think the 60th single will be a limited mu-mo release or a normal one?

oaristos 20th November 2016 07:01 PM

I don't know if that's really true but she's a little late to have a collaboration with a Korean group, isn't she? As Kaled said, K-Pop is not that big of a thing in Japan now, if rhythm zone really wants to boost her sales or something.

thinkingoutloud89 20th November 2016 07:35 PM

^not everyone picks artist to boost popularity - thats kind bullshit. You collaborate because your style fits.

oaristos 20th November 2016 07:46 PM

^ I know, that's why I said if that was what rhythm zone wanted for her. And I don't think her style fits SHINee's, to be honest.

kaled kalil 20th November 2016 08:53 PM

Well, she was one of the first japanese female artists to have a collaboration with a korean band, right? LAST ANGEL was just months after the first "hit" from Tohoshinki. And that was before the whole "korean wave" that started years after the single.

@KuuXAyu-fan I can see being a mu-mo single if the album is released during the same month or something like that.

That's true. I'm not a fan of SHINee but from all those boybands, they're the best ones when it comes to vocals, they have done lots of different concepts/sounds and they can adjust to any style they're given. They also produce and write their own stuff as from lately, so a collab with them is a nice thing.

Kumi should feel happy to have them in a single.

I know. just saying that they aren't as bad and irrelevant as some people might think. they have some pop style but also some ballads which may suit Kuu style, actually.
I think they had concerts in Japan, maybe that's why the collabo was decided, idk.
the hallyu hype seems to have been kinda dead.

kaled kalil 21st November 2016 12:07 PM

No one is complaining about a possible collaboration with them saying that they are irrelevant or anything. It's just that it is so random to have a kpop group collaboration when kpop isn't the hot thing anymore.

I'm still waiting for a collaboration with a female singer. That Ain't Cool was so long ago (not here for It's all love).

Well, That Ain't Cool was a really random release as well...

When it comes to timing, I think only the meaning of peace and LAST ANGEL were "understandable". That Ain't Cool came out of nowhere.

Corvina 21st November 2016 01:13 PM

That Ain't Cool was a gift from Fergie to Kuu for her birthday.
Also Kuu said in an interview (around Bon Voyage) she herself prefers collaborating with not (so) well known artists.

I love the first part of the USJ setlist. That's exactly the order I listen to Lst, Shhh! and SMYH on my phone. Would love another of these jazzy upbeat songs on the next album.

a❤martian 21st November 2016 04:05 PM

That Ain't Cool is easily one of my least favourite Kuu songs everrrr. I was never into the Black Eyed Peas, in fact I dislike them, so a random collab with this Korean boy band is way more welcome.

Actually, I feel like people are normally like wtf to who Kuu chooses to collaborate with. I recall Sean Paul and B. Howard were controversial choices, but I LOVE both of those songs.

I'm curious; the whole "rotten fluids" scandal - that was said on a radio show right? I thought that's how it played out. If that's true, is there audio of the incident in existence? I would love to hear what the reactions of the hosts of the radio show were when she made that comment.

kaled kalil 24th November 2016 01:40 AM

Yes, it was on a pre-taped radio show. Nowadays it's hard to find the full original audio, but as far as I remember they didn't sound surprised or offended, since it was a simple question on if she wanted to have kids anytime soon.

This is the only part that I can find (the audio ends around 0:30).

Kuu was recording yesterday for the new album coming till the new tour.
It was specifically said at the playroom staff report yesterday.
So you can all now officially be looking forward to it.

Thank you! She very rash and boisterous in it, lol. But shit she sounds like fun, I would've fucking died of laughter if I was just hanging out with her and she said that. Like can you imagine drinking with her? Lol.

Well, yay for a new album. I hope she plans a 60th single beforehand, otherwise all that work at the end of the 2016 tour will seem pointless.

It was pre-taped and they still decided to play it on air? That's dirty... they basically ruined her career to a certain degree

If you think black boots and underwear paired with a blazer that looks like it came straight off a Forever21 mannequin constitutes "amazing style", I have a bridge to sell you.
