^ I agree, remixes are hit or miss, but from what I heard in the teaser and what I could vaguely hear during the Jimmy Kimmel concert, I think it's gonna be amazing and I'm SO excited for it. :D

I do think we'll get an MV. If BTS wants MIC Drop remix to chart, it's one of their best bets. They're obviously aiming to get their name out there in America/the west through all these big-name promotions, so I think they're going to capitalize on that and release a full MV. It would be a shame for them not to after promoting it on Ellen/in the US -- they should use every opportunity while they can. Nobody knows if this will be short-lived or possibly break into something bigger, more successful... but being delusional hasn't failed us yet. I think BigHit will do everything they can while the spotlight is still shining on them.

I was not impressed with the camerawork -- it was annoying seeing fans in almost half the shots and the crappy angles -- but damn, they went all out. Suga was so nervous, but they killed it.

In regards to this, they know BTS has a lot of fans, so I believe they wanted to portray that "crazy/crying fangirl" narrative in almost every shot to emphasize the fact.

I heard a rumor that they needed to use the bathroom, so they all went together just in case any celebrities came along. :laugh But actually, I think they needed to change outfits and do their makeup, so they left early to prepare for their stage.

Yep, it's irritating and ruined a lot of shots -- and I'm not even including the weird camera panning and far away shots. How are you supposed to see the choreography??? But I guess American music shows aren't used to this kind of stage.

I like the remix, but as expected I prefer the original :laugh I really love the MV though! :luv2 And I'm personally not a very big fan of Desiigner's part, especially the lyrics. But I also think that it sounds disjointed from the rest of the song.

I think it's interesting the last time MMAs awarded Global Artist was back in 2013 with Psy. They brought it back just for BTS. :weep And wow, two daesangs for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year... Proud of them.

I'm also high key proud of Yoongi for getting an award outside of BTS. Finally being recognized for his own music, he must be so happy.

My opinion about Crystal Snow... It's a nice song, I like it. A cheesy jpop ballad. But imo it doesn't have the winter vibes I was hoping for unfortunately :(

The MV is so bright and quirky. And the mixtape is so perfectly... hobi. I adore it.

I still think RM and Agust D’s mixtapes are my faves, but hobi’s is really growing too. Especially Base Line and Hangsang, those two make me wanna get into a fist fight.

Apparently the mixtape is expected chart in top 50 on Billboard 200 even though it only had ONE DAY to chart. And it was #1 on iTunes in the US and over 60 countries.

A *free* mixtape did this. Amazing.

That one effect in the Daydream MV reminded me of Ayu's Lelio :laugh

so you're like most of the fandom haha For me personally, Base Line and Hangsang are my least favourite songs atm. But I love the whole mixtape tbh. My faves are probably Hope World, P.O.P and Daydream. The style of the 3 mixtapes is very different, so I'm not sure if it's fair to compare them, but it's hard to top Agust D for me XD

Hope World (the mixtape) is very... Hobi. I kinda though we'd get some unexpected side of him, but I'm not disappointed. I think the songs are very catchy. And I like how Daydream sounds really chill but the lyrics are actually pretty sad.

I think hobi used to be kinda... under appreciated, so I’m SUPER happy for him. It’s so freaking awesome how much support the vast majority of the fandom is giving him for his FREE mixtape. He’d been working on it for two years and during the v-live, he mentioned how nervous he was for people to hear it. It must be so overwhelming to know it’s actually financially successful (despite being free) and appreciated to the degree the fandom is showing.

He deserves this spotlight so I’m so... proud :cry

Tl;dr I agree for the most part but I only liked about half the songs on WINGS although I think I’m in the minority. also Fake Love fell to #71 on hot 100 in its 4th week. But it’s still charting as high as Mic Drop Remix did in its 2nd week, so here’s hoping it lasts as long as MDR did. (But with Beyonce and Kanye releasing new music, it’s probably not wise to get our hopes up :laugh)

I absolutely adore the concept photos so far. Both are so visually stunning and unique - bangtan in their lovely little glass domes, filled with flowers (except for you, Jungkook?), gorgeous and sequestered off from the world; the other having the media, public, and fans watching them, grasping at them, in an uncomfortable red prison. And the photo where they're quite literally in a closet, ribbons attached, as if dolls. So disturbing and dark, and definitely NOT what I was expecting thematically to wrap up the Love Yourself series. :laugh

I also really have a thing for flamboyant and vintage styles on them.

I think it will be bittersweet (kinda like I predicted last year)... The pain of learning from your past mistakes but hopefulness for a brighter future. Learning to be comfortable with yourself, accept your faults and weaknesses as well as your strengths. And to tie in the previous albums, finding the courage to express your true self instead of hiding behind a facade for the sake of someone else.

Maybe something like that.

I love the tracklist! So happy to see Euphoria ;-; And I woder if DNA remix is that rock version they performed at one of the awards shows. Curious about what Trivias are as well.

But what I like the most is that, just like I wanted, the tracklist is telling a story. The tracks are divided in order: Wonder, Her, Tear and Answer, based on 起承轉結 (introduction, development, turning point, conlusion), which represents a storytelling structure.

Wonder: you fall in love, you think it's fate, an "ideal" love
Her: you're in love, which is too idealistic, too good to be true, but in reality it's uhealthy, codependent and overly attached
Tear: it turns out that the love was fake (no pun intended, or was it? hehe), because you were wearing a mask, changing yourself in order to make the other person love you, but it wasn't sustainable
Answer: you have an epiphany (oops) and realise that you have to focus on loving yourself first and foremost

Also it's quite interesting that all songs on CD1 fit the storyline, they didn't include the songs with the lyrics that don't fit the theme, they're all on CD2
