kendelle 15th October 2017 03:16 AM

AHS went down when the intl lottery was announced. I got a ticket to Jan 29, 31 and Feb 6. Depending on the shows I might see if I can get tickets for the 30th and the 5th but it will have to wait until I'm in Japan most likely.

Currently I'm planning the actual trip around the shows xDI'm so relieved I won tickets this time though, last time I didn't win any of the tickets I applied for over 4 weekends so this was a nice present :)

ayumint 15th October 2017 03:44 AM

I won ticket on February 20th in Okinawa
Anyone attend this?

freedreamer 15th October 2017 03:45 AM

I won tickets for 19th! :D

AND IM SO HAPYP AHS IS BACK OMG

Sim' 15th October 2017 09:57 AM

I'll be attending the Nara show on december the 3rd, won a ticket (and the Chiba one for the 2nd chapter, so excited!!)

freedreamer 16th October 2017 11:36 AM

Any idea if there will be Round 2 for overeas fans? It seems like the tickets are already on public sales/Yahoo priority sales?

Also, we wont know the seats until we actually collect the ticket on the day right?

kendelle 16th October 2017 02:23 PM

I think it's unlikely for OS fans. I think there was a Japanese fan second lottery just recently but since it's so close to the start dates they probably won't do a second round :(

Hmmm damn..because Chapter 1 and 2 both had their 2nd rounds :/

I really want to have 2nd round for overseas fans!

kendelle 17th October 2017 12:56 PM

I really hope it does so I can retry for the two dates I missed but it feels a bit too short notice to announce, have the lottery period and then announce.... I don't mind being wrong tho :D

This looks like a TA tour somehow. I don't mind anyway, I like the setlist a lot!

Just wondering if 3rd chapter will look like a TA tour or like a regular tour.

hayasaki 19th October 2017 12:08 AM

^definitely felt like an upscaled TA TOUR really. I kinda miss Ayu performing on arenas and will definitely feel sad if she stopped doing so. Third chapter probably would be similar to this since they’re also on halls.

voltron 19th October 2017 12:42 AM

Some halls are bigger than others, but this one seems really small.

I wonder what Ayu's true feelings are about this. TA is also small venue, but it's different knowing you have an audience with more "real" fans vs. a casual concert goer.

I think she must like the intimacy of a smaller venue, and being able to go to locations that she normally wouldn't be able to. But, from a business standpoint, each venue makes less money than a larger one would (that said, production costs are probably significantly lower too). And it is of course more strenuous physically to have to do more shows for the same money.

SunshineSlayer 19th October 2017 06:38 AM

^ Also the price of booking halls is a lot cheaper.

There has to be a lot of financial merit to hall shows considering Namie did a number of hall tours when she easily could have been doing arenas instead.

As opposed to Ayu though, I always feel like Namie's Arena tours aren't really a spectacle. Her stage is usually simplistic, and relies mostly on screens and light shows, which can down scale a lot more easily. She also doesn't have much by way of band, performers, and dancers (as opposed to Ayu's giant troupe) -- so smaller venues seem like a no brainer for her. I also think there's something that creates higher demand when it's smaller venues, because the tickets are harder to get and thus seem more elusive or something.

Have to say namie’s one didn’t wow me and when it ended I was like ‘ended?’. Anyway, is anyone going for the Kobe show this week?? And what time is the sale of goods? I can’t find info on the site

Right, I'm not saying which artists shows suit a smaller venue more though, but rather that smaller venues must have some kind of money making incentive for the record company considering the fact that she could have always been doing arena tours, but instead would rather do super long hall tours.

hayasaki 21st October 2017 02:11 AM

^i think i could straightforwardly say that Ayu still doesn’t suit for smaller venue like halls with the entourage she has and the kind of stage she’d always had. Unlike TA TOUR, this hall tour looked rather cramped.

The stage setting is basically the exact stage of the cdl/1st Leg just without the cat walk and the center stage and imagine all that having fit on the halls’s smaller ones. I just realized now that it might be a reason why the band isn’t present this time.

I was kinda hoping they’ll be back on the third leg, but having the shows on halls too i doubt. Not unless Ayu will cut off dancers to give way for the band which I actually prefer. We haven’t seen her tour with just band in a while.

for me personally, namies tours look all the same. despite the songs, its very monotone. its not that i dont like them but when we have a performer like ayu, it shows how performers differ.

Why can´t ppl that like both discuss the difference in performance?
It´s not that anyone is bashing namie, they just leave their opinion in mature way^^

CeReSu 21st October 2017 04:41 PM

If Namie's tour are the same, Ayu's are too!
She didn't show anything new for ages! So...

That being said, Ayu and Namie are very different. I couldn't imagine Namie offering a tour like Ayu, it isn't her. Namie prefers to focus on dance and lights and energy.
Ayu don't dance so she focus on the stage with usually a theme.

And you know what? That's totally fine by me! Ayu is Ayu and Namie is Namie.
I will miss Namie's tour so much!

The opposite can also be said.

But I wasn't saying anything critical about Namie at all. I was comparing two artists who have performed in both large arenas, as well as small hall tours. My only point was that her tours scale much more easily because she doesn't have the big show that Ayu does with an intricate stage, and tons of dancers, background singers, etc. It was all related to profitability of a hall tour and how I think Namie's overhead costs are MUCH lower than Ayu's because of all of those things, and for her, hall tours are probably hugely profitable because of that. For Ayu, even though I'm sure she's still making money, it's probably more of a significant drop for her in terms of time investment vs. profit.

Andrenekoi 21st October 2017 07:00 PM

^There's a way to adapt the way Ayu tours to halls keeping quality, and if she keeps touring halls I'm sure she will get there. Matsutoya Yumi has a similar style of performance and it works pretty well in halls ^^

EndOfTheWorld 21st October 2017 09:50 PM

Haven't we had this exact conversation before?:rolleyes

Andrenekoi 22nd October 2017 12:06 AM

Just for the sake of comparing, because when you think about a grand jpop spectacle, it doesn't really gets grander than a Matsutoya Yumi concert, even Ayu or Koda at their most extravagant:

Yuming in arenas or big venues:
Spoiler:

Yuming in halls:
Spoiler:

This is a direction I think Ayu can take if she really scales down her concerts for now on.

Long queue for buy goods. I guess the sheer number of person here in the queue shows that we don’t mind being stranded at sannomiya station. Afterall some might not even be able to go home now. If only ayu can just continue with concert.

Edit ayu came during the goods sale with her dancers for a short period

Corvina 22nd October 2017 01:06 PM

Because of a typhoon

Though I wonder, Ayu and her team were fully there as apparently a lot of fans as well already - so why not doing it as planned?
Wasn't it a bit late to cancel?
But maybe there are some safety concerns.

As far as I know public transportation is almost completly shut down during a typhoon.
And I am sure many fans could not get to the concert hall, so a re-shedule is the best way (and the fairest) Of course it´s rly bad for overseas fans but you can´t change nature. Japanese ppl whould say "Shoganai" what means "it is like it is"

Yoake 22nd October 2017 01:24 PM

^^Of course it's for safety reasons. Above all when people'll go home after concert, it'll be dangerous. I suppose it's that. Ayu is sweet to show herself even if it's cancelled. She really care about her fans. ♥

No, public transportation is not necessarily shut down during a typhoon. I was even able to fly home within a typhoon in September. But transport can be stopped at any time during that.
I guess it went stronger than expected.
I hope everyone is safe somehow.

Ayu gets some nice coverage in the media cause of her 'fanservice', how they call it:
https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=2...7-spnannex-ent

The last part also says though, that there were also fans criticising her for behaving like that here, but not doing it back in Tokushima when the other concert was canceled in September.

Tomono1 22nd October 2017 07:04 PM

I have foind that i am watching latest Ayu concerts just to watch them and see how she perform. Unfortunately, when i want to watch her great show, i have to watch old blurays like PoM or a wake up. Her latest shows are somehow not what she has showed for the last 15 years. They lack something.

SunshineSlayer 22nd October 2017 07:50 PM

^ Since the other concert seemed to have more time before canceling, she may not have even been in Tokushima yet? Whereas this concert seems as though it was cancelled at the very last minute, so Ayu was likely already at/around the venue.

freedreamer 23rd October 2017 10:18 AM

I was expecting a Round 2 (Overseas) announcement yesterday/today since the Japanese TeamAyu confirmation deadline was yesterday. Now, I'm really wondering if there is gonna be a Round 2 even anymore

kiseki89 23rd October 2017 03:07 PM

Managed to get a ticket for today and ayu allowed photography after mc. Those at first row were supppppper near to ayu, nearer than last yr’s at zepp coz basically they just rushed forward to the stage. Just before ending, ayu came down to the audience, sadly she was on the other side but I managed to high five with some of the dancers since I was at the aisle. So happy to catch it. This certain reminds me of her performance at a nation in singapore MBS hall

Uknow! 27th October 2017 02:47 PM

^ I thing yes, because she reutilized Chapter 1 outfit of WARNING for alterna. She started Chapter 1 wearing outfit from CDL too.

During CDL 14-15 I thought she souded fantastic, then I watched the TV version and for a whole year I thought she sounded fantastic and when I listen to it now I can tell how bad the vocals were. The concert was so amazing to me I couldn't admit the vocals weren't the best xD

Katsuyuki012 29th October 2017 03:08 PM

^What? CDL 14-15 had one of the best vocals of Ayu's entire career xD Is there a chance that you mistook with another concert because I seriously can't imagine that someone finds those vocals to be bad.

freedreamer 29th October 2017 04:38 PM

I Liked Made in Tokyo than Made in japan to be honest. It felt fresh and fun.

Anyway, anyone here attending the 1/29 show in Nagoya?

Cahz- 30th October 2017 05:11 AM

What I can't stand of CDL 2014-2015 is the childish/helium voice she uses on forgiveness, Zutto, SURREAL and MOWY.

They're still showing up on Ticket Pia, maybe a service like japanconcerttickets.com can help you?

I'll be landing in Japan then so I chose 1/31 to make sure I can make it, I'm also going in Kobe. Those are two tickets I got through TA.

Moderation note:
The incident about the flag on Ayu’s jacket is too sensitive and controversial to be discussed in a proper and cordial way as it involves notably politics and ideological conceptions. To respect the rules of AHS and to preserve this place as a forum where everyone can talk in a civilized, courteous, and constructive manner, don’t carry on this topic please.

freedreamer 5th November 2017 03:56 AM

I was trying to research and I realized...Ayu has never performed in Okinawa before??? Or at least in the past 7 years?
