Britney Spears all the way, her latest album is AMAZING, its a great collection.

Christina may have the better voice, but ugh, she's.....scary...Although some of her songs are good.

Britney Spears has some really catchy songs, the kind that makes you get up and dance. Her songs don't have much substance though... (He started touching me and kissing me like he didn't care...I thought I should go home but fell sleep in the chair. Ugh...right.., but great beat! lol)

I haven't seen Aguilera dance, but Spears is a great dancer.

Hmm, I think Christina has the better voice and the better songs, althought Britney looks better.

what can i say ? christina had her real talent but britney hadn't ,so Britney , so-called "Lipsync Machine under the Pop Doll's skin >_< " Her song is pretty good but her vocal is so bad >:P

I used to LOVE Britney Spears and HATE Xtina. Britney WAS my very favorite artist. I thought she was just wonderful. Until, well, her music got really bad. Her album "Oops!" and "Britney" were both amazing. But "In The Zone" was a total flop. After not only 2 months, i already stop listening to it. Unlike LOTS of people, i don't like viewing her as well, the pop singing who always lipsynch and got married 100 times and all those tabloids stuff. I see the real side, the personal side of Britney. That's what i like about her. Now, her voice had worsen. MONA LISA (and the music is well, not so good) says it all, but i voted for her.

Xtina have a nice voice, sometime. Not in concert because all she does is major screaming and "WHAT?", "AH!", "SAY WHAT?", "AH HA". She can have a great voice, but when she screams like that? I prefer hearing Britney lipsynch instead.

same here. i can't wait for her spanish album. she is always taking such a long time! i'd love if she come out with a spanish version of Stripped album and another new spanish album at the same time. Stripped is fantastic!

I think Christina is a very talented singer, she really can sing and I enjoy her album a lot. I'm really looking forward for her next release, and she's slightly behind ayu when it comes to favourite singer. Christina probably get bad reputation for those sexy photoshot and MTV, but she does have the talent to be a very good singer.

Britney doesn't have talent in singing honestly. And her personal life is really mess up, which makes her a low class celebrity, despite how famous she might be.

Just my personal opinion, hope Britney fans won't be offended haha. :p

I've always been more of a Britney fan compared to Christina, maybe because I liked her first. Christina's got a lot of good songs really, and she's got a really powerful voice. But, I still go for Britney, although I'm not 100% sure why. lol!

All though I don't like what Christina's done to her image. It seems like it's more about the looks than the singing lately.

I've met Christina while I was working for the olympics, she is a horrible person when the cameras arent rolling. I dont know, maybe she was just having a bad "entire month".

I haven't met Spears, perhaps she would be just as bad around "regular people", but maybe not. Brittany gets my vote, not because I like her, but because she is the only person on this pole who isnt Aguilera.

Britney is a wannabe and lipsynches a lot and does outrageous things to attract attention just so people will still know about her... pathetic. The only thing she can do well is dance. Plus lately her look has been too much.

Yeah, I heard that Christina was a horrible person. Also, she was hosting the EMA's with Vin Diesel and he claims that she's a total hypocrite.

As for Britney, she once said in a magazine that she doesn't click with celebrities and that she'd rather have a nice conversation with a perfect nobody at McDonald's than to talk to some celebrity.

I would most certainly vote for Christina Aguilera. Britney Spears is a performer, not a professional singer, although i have to admit liking a few of her songs. I find them pretty catchy sometimes but it gets boring and not to mention there's no meaning behind her songs.

Christina, on the other hand, have produced songs that are very meaningful and have even influenced millions of people with her lyrics. Take "BEAUTIFUL" for an example. Who doesn't love the lyrics? I must say the music and lyrics are both strong. It deserved to be a HIT song and won many awards. Although i must say DIRTY wasn't that great....

I'm sure I've already posted in this thread a long time ago, but searching through all those pages didn't seem like a valid way to waste time.

So my answer is Christina. If you asked me about two years ago or before, then it would have have definitely been Britney, but she's just become a trashy slob now. I seriously respect Lindsay Lohan more than Britney right now. Christina has an immensely more powerful voice, doesn't lipsynch, writes at least SOME of her music, and makes consistently good music. Britney on the other hand (excluding her sordid personal life), ALWAYS lipsynchs and has enough crappy filler tracks to populate her own country.

Although Christina totally pwns Britney voice-wise, I still like Britney more. I'm big fans of them both but Britney has a special place in my heart. I just hope she can get her sanity back and kick some major ass when she actually does return.

I was thinking the same thing. Even when they both premeired post-Mickey Mouse Club I was always partial to Christina. And throughout her whole carrer nothing has changed.

It sure is a complete swing of character isn't it? :laugh At times I'm surprised my own self at how fast I quit the Britney fan club. But seriously, the girl really can't do anything anymore. And because of her complete lack of enthusiasm about this "comeback", I really don't think she cares. I'm fed up with defending her, fed up with making excuses for her, fed up with her bad performances, etc., etc. And after I started looking into Beyonce, I discovered how great she is, something I NEVER knew about before. And one of the things I came to love was Beyonce's voice, which lead to me developing a real appreciation for artists who could actually sing (like Christina as well), which is why I pointed out that Britney, along with everything else she can't do, can't sing a lick.

The fact that it's a Christina vs Britney poll may also have something to do with Christina getting votes. :laugh

Christina has an awesome voice, but what does it help if she insists on singing all the boring stuff? :shrug (she has a couple good songs, I admit, but the boring ones exceed anything). If I were to choose artists just because they exsude vocal talent, luciano pavarotti would be one on the top of my play list (the only song I've ever played in which he sings was Miss Sarajevo, an U2 song, because I'm a fan of U2 :P).

Britney may not have great vocals, but at least she works with the right producers when it comes to making music :yes Her songs make you wanna play them over and over, even if her voice is nauseating.

Maybe I can say I respect Xtina more than Britney, because I believe she has more talent, but I actually enjoy Britney infinitely more than Xtina.
