I used to be obsessed with the Spice Girls, still love em. The promo pic looks great. Everyone looks better than they did before. I used to think Scary was hideous lol but now she's quite pretty.

Nice pic for everyone but Melanie C. Her smile is awkward. She's normally so gorgeous! They're all such beautiful girls, too. It's amazing how much they have physically changed, though. I think the only one whose face hasn't changed is Victoria. The others look much more grown up.

Haha, me too! I think she looks much better without a 'fro. She dresses better now too...back then I remember her wearing a lot of leopard print and then thigh-high boots and a trenchcoat or something. I think her better style today contributes to her looks better than it did ten years ago, hehe.

I saw on the news today that they were making more dates for their reunion concert due to high demand. :) I'm glad, they look so good now. Even Sporty, who lost her edge a few years ago, she's looking so much better!

I remember reading a long time ago that Right Back At Ya was written as a pop song, but when the girls decided to follow the RnB crowd the song fell victim and lost it's edge. I want to hear the pop version, apparently it's supposed to be awesome. I read somewhere before that it was going to have unreleased tracks, B-Sides, and such, but I guess this is all we get. Every single one of these has been on one of their three albums, and I already own all of them. This is rather disappointing. Way to not aim for the fans...

I just remember that today's the day we would be able to know whether we could buy tickets or not.. so I checked my email account (and my bro checked his) (around 5ish)... None of us got emails.

Then at 8:30 my bro told me that they'd sent me the email... in another email account!!!! Damn it! I didn't know I registered for the tickets in another email account.. So when I went online all the best tickets were gone already. My bro didn't wanna watch the concert at the top of the hill.. So in the end we decided not to buy the tickets...

AHHHHHH I'm so depressed now.. If I got the chance to get good seats I don't mind taking about 2 - 3 hrs trip to Vancouver (and not to mention I have to stay there overnight). Oh well, just pretend that I have never got the email from the Spice Girls.. :cry

Ugh, I looked up the concerts legs and none of the Spice Girls performances is nowhere near where I live. They are only performing in L.A. and New York....bummer! I'm surprise that they aren't performing in Las Vegas!!!

I think they really screwed the midwest out of a once-in-a-lifetime experience, my best friend is spending $600 on ticket, hotel, and flight just to see them, i cannot afford that and its not fair that they dont come to atleast one midwest city.

it's so crazy... today's the time for getting toronto concert. I was tryin to help my bro getting 4 tickets. So at 10:00 am EST i started refreshing the page like crazy.. then i finally had my chance to enter the code... after the search i got NOTHING at all (only 30 seconds from 10:00). I retried for like 20 mins and finally I had to accept the fact that the concert was "sold out" in less than a min (according to lots of people on the Denden forum.. many of them couldn't get anything after a min).

so i was hopeless and thinking about whether i would be chopped into pieces by my bro. Good lord I kept playing with ticketmaster (while I was so depressed), then all of the sudden I saw they added a new date (feb 4th) around 7:30ish!!! So I searched three times and finally got something my bro would want :D.

Damn it's so crazy...

I hope my mom got my tickets for the toronto show... she better!!! I told her this can be my Christmas gift!!

Side-story. I called my bro and leave a message telling him that I couldn't get him any tickets at all in the beginning (at 10:20ish). Then I got the feb 4th tickets and I left him a msg again (this time of course with a happy tone). During his first break he listened to my FIRST msg and he almost wanna cry. LOL. I dun really mean to scare him off in the first place.. But I didn't know that ticketmaster would put feb 4th concert on the web that quick :D.

Has anyone heard the 30 second clip of Headlines yet? I'm not that impressed. As for as ballads go, it really doesn't compare to their others.

However, I recently read that they will releasing their song W.O.M.A.N. as a double A-side to Headlines, which seems odd since I haven't seen it on the tracklist or on the official website. It might just be a bull crap rumor, but I would love for it to be true, as I think they should have used an upbeat track as their comeback song.

Headline's seemed very bland (Thankfully, it was Geri Heavy :D) I thought the other new song was Voodoo? Not heard of W.O.M.A.N

Voodoo is the other album track, and that's why this other rumor seems false to me. It didn't say anything about W.O.M.A.N. being on the album, but rather on the single as an A-side (but A-sides are almost always featured on albums). W.O.M.A.N. was performed on tour during the Forever era, but it had never been studio recorded to my knowledge. That's why this is just a rumor though, I pretty much doubt it completely.

W.O.M.A.N is going to be on the Headlines single.

It's really nice, but maybe a little bland. I like the arrangement, though; it's cool to think that this is what the Spice Girls would have sounded like if they had continued on together. I'm glad to hear Geri and [particularly] Victoria singing. Geri's voice has matured so much.

I heard the whole thing last night for the first time. It's pretty good, and would make a fantastic album track, but as a single (and their comeback single no less), it's a little underwhelming. It's hard to complain, since them reuniting even to tour is enough for me to be satisfied, but I'm just hoping that Voodoo and the now confirmed studio version W.O.M.A.N. are good. I heard Voodoo is an uptempo track and I've already heard W.O.M.A.N. live so I know it is as well. I hope the studio version is even better, because the original wasn't half bad.

I think the Victoria's Secret ONLY promotion is really a poor idea though. The preorders are already closed and there are 600,000 confirmed preorders, which is good, but c'mon, why make it exclusive there? The official release at other retailers isn't until January, if I'm not mistaken. At least we don't have to worry about a leak hurting sales, since, you know, almost every song is old :laugh I'll probably be buying the Japanese Deluxe Edition though, but I'll wait until I find out what the US special editions are going to have. I'm hoping for a remix CD or something like that, and of course a DVD with all their videos as well. I'd give all those up to have them re-record the vocals to their old songs though. That would be the greatest thing of all (besides a new original album).

There actually is a remix CD. The UK Special Edition comes with the hits CD, an Instrumental CD, a Remix CD, and a bonus DVD.

I actually just saw it last night when I went on Wikipedia. The picture of the box set looks absolutely amazing and I'll most certainly be buying it. I just hope it isn't too expensive, as I went to CD Japan and the price for the Japanese 3CD+DVD+Bracelet Edition was around 9000 Yen. That's far too expensive for me.

Well, that gift box edition is about $70 - 80 CDN.. It's not too bad except lots of people (esp guys) think the box is too pink.. LOL :D

Personally I dun think the box is that ugly, except I dun have interest on the instrumentals + remix cds.. Besides I'm sure that my brother is gonna buy it. So why dun I just buy the CD+DVD version and let him send me the mp3s of those instru + remixes? :D

Unfortunately, retailers won't even get the album until January since Victoria's Secret decided to be moronic and only release it there (and I assume it's only the regular edition). The video is beautiful! Although, at first I was taken aback by Geri's initial bust shot, I thought it actually looked suitable when it revealed her full outfit (with the long skirt). In my opinion, that costume is a perfect evolution of 1997 Ginger Spice to 2007 Ginger Spice. It's sexy and cheeky, but much more chic and classy. (Honestly, this is super tame compared to what she was often seen in back in the day) And at any rate, she looked amazing. I couldn't believe her body! She used to always be a little meatier, and now she is ripped. I would show it off if I were here too, especially since she had a baby not too long ago.

Victoria's blatant lingerie shots seemed out of place, though. It looked very Cabaret, sitting on the chari and all, which doesn't really suit the overall look of the video. Mel B & Geri both had skirts in their secondary costumes, but Victoria looked like she was in bondage gear. Overall, I thought she was unnecessarily sexual throughout; sexy is always fine, but sexual just doesn't suit the song or video. Bummer, I love Victoria.

Overall impression, though, is that the girls are all at their most beautiful. The video is lovely, and they are all stunning. It makes the song much more real, now, to see the video, and it is a really great song. I just can't get over how much of a realistic evolution their new song, new look, and new video are. It really makes it feel like they never went anywhere.

I heard Voodoo last night for the first time in its complete form. I'm definitely liking it, but I'm not sure if I like that or Headlines better. They're very different, but both are competent songs on their own.

I believe it's $119.99 US. One advice: dun choose any option and just leave them as "Best available". If you playing around with the price/the seats/etc., you may not be able to purchase ANYTHING at all. I got this problem when I tried to purchase 4 tickets of the Toronto concert for my brothers. I did everything in 20 SECONDS and I got nothing at all. The concert was sold out in about 2 mins. Fortunately ticketmaster showed another concert date (feb 4th) 25 mins later, or else my brother would kill me.

There are 3 price points, but all around the same amount. With Ticketmaster fees, you'll end up spending about $100-130 either way.

I certainly don't. Good luck with that one. When I went to New York to see Wicked the hotel I stayed at with my Mom and brother was more than $400 a night. It's pretty hard to find anything below $200 that's decent, but you might be able to if you really look.

My friend Ruth told me that Headlines debuted @ #10 today on either the Irish or UK charts today. I praying that it was downloads only or something, because that sucks. And I completley forgot about the CD! I buy it tomorrow!
