^^I think it'll take number 1 this week. Last week's one was at 47,000, and that was SMAP's "Dangan FIGHTER", so MIRAGE looks pretty OK this week. :)

If not, 2 is still the highest chart position they will have, nonetheless. So not a bad debut. :)

They got no. 1 for the week, with 25,333 copies sold. It's the lowest first week sales for a no. 1 in Oricon's history, though lol =x

But still in general its weird to have this much info already on a single. First we might get a date, then a name, tracklist then cover. Not most of the info at once

Well, it is AAA. They've only been a group for what, 2 years+? They've already released 17 singles,; 3 studio albums; 1 remix, cover, and best-of albums; and 3 mini-albums .

That's a butt load to do in only under 3 years. So for me, it's not really that suprising to see albums/singles to come and go by ppretty quickly. Also, some other artists that I know relase a single shorty after an album. Or that might be just me.

The cool thing about the MIRAGE single is it's b-side. Shuuta actually gets one of the leads! I thought I wouldn't live to see the day when Nishijima, Urata, and Uno were the only leads. Also, it's an awesome song. =)

Hell, everything they do is different. Call me back when some other artist names their songs "Hurricane Lily, Boston Mari" or "Kuchibiru Kara Romantica".

As for song recommendations, it's hard because their style varies widely.

But I would recommend the ALL and AROUND albums (which I will up if it's currently not), and the mini-album version of ATTACK. I didn't really like the rest of the album, IMO. Typical debut album stuff.

I also recommend "Wonderful Life", on their "alohAAA!!!" mini-album. I have it uploaded in m4a format, but will convert it if you're interested. :)

BEYOND is like an Ayu or Kumi song to me: it takes a while for me to get acclimated to it. Actually, recently, most new stuff have been like that (save for alan). I think that the mainstream/larger artists are moving directions as a whole, which is causing this shift of numbers for everyone. The ones that do stay safe are usually the ones that nab better sales than those that do take riskier options (such as this one). I thought MIRAGE was risky at first, but it's very mainstream-able; it's a familiar build compared to BEYOND.

Although it's not my favorite, BEYOND is something different, and adds spice to the current releases everyone is coming out with (save for Utada, Prisoner of Love is AMAZING).
