no that's not it! she just didn't have any hits from the album. look at the stellar singles from HEART, and the major tie-ins she had (NANA etc). Those bring major attention. WISH however had none of that. Those who bought it were probably those who follow Yuna as fans, or something... :shrug

I know , the singles released from WISH were not as successful as those that were released from HEART , be it singles or chart positions wise .

Quite unfortunate cos it's not like Yuna cannot sing . She can but she's stuck with average songs & melodies which kinda suck cos I like her

I though that Celine DionxYuna Ito song would have been a hit but I was wrong....waaay wrong. I didn't like Endless Story. Tbh, I'm not in luv with any of her songs. Is that bad? :dead2 I'm not Yuna fan mainly because....she sings too many ballads for my liking. I mean, of course I like ballads and all but I just think an artist shouldn't overdo it with ballads.

I have a feeling Yuna wanted to breakaway from the whole sterotype that she only does ballads & she wanted to move away from there but obviously there're gonna be people who wants to see her try new music direction & some don't want that to happen & would rather lap up her ballads .

I also thought that her duet with Celine Dion would finally gave her a no.1 single but alas :(

wah I think so far that's the lowest 5296 has been ... weekly I mean . Kobukuro is insane , their album sales are so consistent . That includes ALL SINGLES BEST too .

Well, as far as my opinion goes, Yuna Ito's album is a flop, music-wise, as besides the songs from the singles, the rest were pretty much album fillers. And THE FACE is a good album, at least she got no.1, hopefully the sales will pass 200k in a few weeks.

No, oricon doesn't count overseas sales, 46,000,000 were just album+single copies that were sold in Japan.
I was refering to the issue of oricon with Mr.Children's album on 2005 so they posted that ayu has sold over 46 million copies and the 4th best selling japanese artist after B'z, Mr. Children and Southren All Stars which are all boy bands.

Probably. I think HEART STATION can sell at least 700k.

Hopefully, I'm not to keen about sales nowadays because even with successful singles and stuff it seems that sales are just aren't what they were even a year ago.

Here's the tablet from the article I was talking about, it was on March 2007 it appears (lol stupid memory) and it said that ayu sold more than 45,500,000 album+single copies to that date, now she most likely reached to 47,000,000 with the singles, A BEST 2 and GUILTY so it's 3 milllions to go that she can sell over 50,000,000 XD.
