I wouldn't be surprised if they choose to omit including all the MCs (though I don't see why they wouldn't)...since a collection of the clips is shown during the last concert (though it didnt have all the songs).

I really hope they don't go the route of AT07 and completely cut ALL MCs entirely..

Ugh. They'll probably do the 3 DVD with this tour.

1 DVD would be for the main live, another DVD would be for encore + special screens + acappellas [maybe], and another could be used for documentary/MCs/acappellas [maybe]~

I dunno, since they've become so obsessed with the documentary.. I can't pinpoint anything. :[

I think 4DVD sets will be even better

DVD 1 : Final day in Yoyogi Live
DVD 2 : Docs, MCs, accapelas, etc all abt the Japan legs of the tour
DVD 3 : Final day in Taipei Arena
DVD 4 : Docs, MCs, accapelas (maybe), etc about the OS legs of the tour

Even the setlist may be the same later, trust me, the feeling of the live itself will be different, ayu's hair may be different style that time, or maybe she really changes the setlist a bit or else ^^ maybe even costume changes (updates) ^^ whatever...

You don't need a full DVD for the stuff that would be from the overseas performances [there are only FOUR shows as opposed to the Japanese 26/27 or so], if anything, that should take like PART of a 3rd DVD. I don't think they'll ever package two different shows in a DVD set either. D:

i don't mind that there isnt any DVD for the overseas concert because ultimately the product will be from Japan. So of cos the concert in japan will be included.

the best is the documentary and main concert is separated. We can watch not only the concert without interruption, we can watch the documentary with some flow too. As in like "day 1. day 2. day 3.." and also on all the way to the last day. Like dat it's more like a documentary rather than just clips inserted in between..

I've watched the news once again with my speaker ON (last time i used headphone so it wasn't so clear) and I have to amit she sounds real good, well she may sounded a bit off key in some songs, becoz of her left ear. BUT she still manage to sing REALLY WELL...OMG...salute to ayu ^^ I always love her voice ^^ btw I still think HANABI is not really good there, not as good as in a-nation 2005

Eh, I have hopes for ZERO documentary since it'll probably be the exact same things we've already seen.

I'm okay with 5-6 minute clips explaining certain tricks [the boat, (don't)Leave me alone.. etc] but a whole documentary.. AGAIN? I'm pretty sure after two 90 minute documentaries in a row, we know what's going on backstage and during rehearsals to not need it anymore. D:

lol.. different tours have different things to watch about right? just like we had a documentary for BEST of CDL 0607 and den AT 07 also.. Maybe in the documentary, ayu will explain why there is a 3 months gap between her last Yoyogi concert and her concert in hong Kong. :P

and it's a new stage! so what's going on backstage MAY be different.. not saying that it will be different. but MAY be different.

whatever it is, i believe that there will be new things to watch! :D

I like truehappiness' 3-disc set idea. I like documentaries and all, but I think they kinda killed it with the AT07 one. I don't know if there's much left to see behind the scenes. Unless they plan on taking some of the focus away from Ayu. Like more insight into the dancers and the rest of the staff (or maybe why Shuya is always Mr. Man). But I doubt that, since it's AYU's 10th Anniversary.

actually even if its like cdl 07-08 dvd (little documentary at the beginning before the concert and the rest after the concert) is ok too...just not in the middle please~

Though it should be :

1. 6/29 Final at Yoyogi (Complete show,including encore)
2. Documentary for *** tour + asia
3. random bits from all MCs including asia, all acapella songs, Life from 4/08 in full, and the interlude videos.

I hope they put all the interlude videos on - she shot what, 5 or 6 for this year? So they may as well...

and i want documentary since its her 10th anniversary!i hope they will show something special and interview more of ayu related person(mika jone etc) and her fans!

I'd like the documentary to be not so much about the show and the details behind it, but reflecting on Ayu as an artist over the past ten years, or reaching out to show more about the other people who work so hard to make the show work: the dancers, maybe even the band members... I think it'd be really cool if more light was shed on why Ayu sticks with the band members, who seem to be more stable than some of the dancers, and how they've all come to grow over their time on stage with each other.

But even if they don't do a documentary they absolutely MUST include a medley of all the acapella performances, dammit. I demand it >:O

Ayu never has good behind the scenes footage. D: They always show her laughing or eating or something like that, but never the costume design, stage design etcetc. :(

Anyway, I hope they don't do what they did in AT02 when they overlayed the behind the scenes footage OVER the concert itself. D: Ugh that was terrible.

I just watched AT02 recently and yeah, I thought that was kind of cheap - you want to see the show, especially if you didn't go to the show, and I thought it broke the flow of the songs and the set. Ayu's concerts are typically like shows or stories, or even theatre, and it would be like if all the crew members of a play came out on stage and broke the set down in the middle of a scene. It's jarring lol

^ The thing is that the footage wasn't even very interesting. It was more like them doing the exact same thing as in the concert but without the outfits or audience. XD

I wonder why they don't add english subtitle. they should add so that the footage could be interesting for us.:)
They show Ayu's rehearsal all the time. that make the documentary boring.

^It wouldn't be profitable to add english subs, since they don't sell to any english speaking countries. They add the chinese for overseas.

best of cdl documentary showed the costumes and how they practiced timing it and stuff...I liked that...cdl 07-08 showed how ayu got to the side stage and from there to the back stage. I would like to see more of those footages in future documentaries. Ayu have some really nice and unique costumes and she have very grand concert stages. I hope they'll show more footages of the designing especially for this year's coz of the flying ship and the carousel.

BTW...did anybody noticed ayu's double wasn't shown in the cdl 07-08 documentary? I don't remember seeing her.

Ayu's double wasn't shown explicitly, but she was shown performing as Ayu in several scenes.

Meh...I want a documentary. I like the NTV interview style that they do with these shows. With all the stuff that's been going on, the behind-the-scene stuff should more a lot more dramatic/interesting than last year's. I want depth, not just random clips of her screaming (though scenes of those would be great too).

The DVD will probably of the Yoyogi finale (I doubt the Jpn people really care to watch a full concert with foreign fans...reactions, etc. wouldn't be the same). But, I'm assuming by then we'll have a new song so they may intercut in a performance of the song? (since she'll probably sing during MC then)

yeah i have seen her double doing jobs that isnt that of a double. She follows ayu wherever she goes during last year's ASIA TOUR. in and out of the airport, to the Jade Buddha Temple in Shanghai etc..

basically just observe what the person who has the same hair as ayu is doing.. thats the job of ayu's double.. :P

Ayu can't really see herself from the audience POV while she is rehearsing her performances so she normally uses her "double" to act as her so Ayu can see herself and make improvements on her positioning and such during the performance.

She seems to have other tasks too. In the AT07 documentary DVD you see her throw suggestions out to Shuya on his hand positioning with Ayu during the appears Paso Doble dance (might I add what a lucky bum he is to get to put his hand there). And yea she also follows Ayu around in the overseas airports and the Shanghai temple. I'm guessing shes an advisor to Ayu or something.

So I have a question guys, since the asia tour just ended in japan it means phase 1 just ended and anot she's going overseas, that would be phase 2. So maybe I'm wrong here but last year's tour she did japan, then the rest of asia and then closed in japan right?

You really appreciates everything when you've seen how much effort they put in every little detail. And I love when they give you glimps of how Ayu really is in person :D It's kind of a mystery really, 'cause it's almost like she's a different person on-stage, and off-stage.

Well, thing is that before the documentaries we would get to see Ayu working uber-hard during the credits. :D~

Ayumi Hamasaki finishes 10th anniversary tour

Singer Ayumi Hamasaki, 29, on Sunday night finished her nationwide tour marking the 10th anniversary of her debut in Tokyo. She held 17 concerts in 10 cities since April, attracting 230,000 fans.

Hamasaki, who revealed in January that she had lost the hearing ability in her left ear, said she also had been suffering stress since the death of a close friend last autumn. Wiping away tears, she told fans, “I appreciate all of you who came to my concerts nationwide. Thank you for a great time.”

Prior to Sunday’s concert, she wrote on her official blog: “I’m a happy person. I’ve never lost anything because my fans support me. They are my left ear.”

Hamasaki will tour Hong Kong, Shanghai and Taiwan from September. She said, “With the energy you gave me, I can manage the Asian tour.”

There was a clip on youtube I saw showed the whole stage with the ship on it (unlike other clips where it only showed the ship up close) The ship wasn't that big but it was ok since it has to turn and stuff.

They would have to work really hard if they want to relese the DVD this year. Cuz the tour doesnt ends until oct-nov...

They could just not feature the Asian "end" of the tour. It's not like it's necessary. She already spent a ton of time on Asia in the AT07 DVD, and for the most part, people were not satisfied at all with the way that was set up.. D:
