But I don't think it's a ballad. Remember Step YOU, when it was in Panasonic cm?
It had a much slower beat, and different instrumentation.
They can change it for release, which has been done many times before~~

She said that the song she recorded in LA is kakkoii/cool which means it's an up-beat (Startin' or STEP yo type of song) or up-beat rock song (t2m or Because of You type of song).

I definitely hear MY ALL in it too. When she gets near the end of each line it sounds exactly the same as MY ALL.

But I like it :). I think it's one of those songs I'll like better each time I hear it. That's how Mirrorcle World was for me xD.

Back on topic. :3 If Tetsu composed it, it's no wonder I like it so much.. I'm a fan of all his songs (JEWEL, INSPIRE, part of Me, Secret, (miss)understood, Moments, HAPPY ENDING, ANGEL'S SONG, etc.). Now that you mention it, most of his chorusses do have a lot of repeativeness (especially Moments, INSPIRE and (miss)understood :3). But I love m! XD

This song sounds very oriental... sort of like part of Me. But it kind of sounds like Moments/Will too... very beautiful too!

I can somehow guess why she came up with GREEN... something like GREEN means calmness and serenity... sort of like how the song sounds like. I think the perfect word to describe is mellow. I mean, her recent songs sound mellow. Life, GREEN... I'm kind of liking this new direction from Ayu.

P.S: Does anyone notice that the lyrics are talking like the discovery of new love? On the surface, it looks she's found new love, but I actually think she's jealous/envious of OTHER PEOPLE finding new love; maybe that's why it's called GREEN, because green represents envy too.

i really don't like what I'm hearing through the CM, maybe because i overexpected another INSPIRE-like song, what i heard was more like a derivative of 'MY ALL', which i hate.

gee, i hope it's a multiple-A-sided single, and i hope this GREEN thing isn't the song that made her so excited while recording thus made her voice go squeaky, because if it is, it's not worth it, IMO.

I don't know why this song sounds me a lot to MY STORY album, it has like... the iiiiiII that pierces your ears from HAPPY ENDING... it's her voice, like it was in her MY STORY era...mmm

She Looks So Pretty In The CM. I Like Her Hair And GREEN Sounds Like It's A Pretty Song!

It sounds like it could be pretty. It makes me think of a brighter "HANABI ~episode II~" in that it's a "moving" ballad. By that I mean it seems to have a lot of quick movement in the arrangement under a legato melody. It sounds like it's in 2/4 time, also, which is interesting.

I don't like the deviation from the melodic rhythm, though. You can tell she forced the melody unnaturally to fit the lyrics she wanted, instead of writing better-fitting lyrics. It sounds terrible! The lyrics aren't even that great, so I don't know why she'd insist on them.

I like it! :D It gives a calm and a nostalgic feeling haha! At like someone said. it has an autumn feeling to it. :)

GREEN is definitely different than her "usual" type of song, but i think it will be an interesting change and a good one too. :) i do like it, it just didn't sound like an "ayu" kind of song you know, it sounded closer to theme of a-nation 03' than any other song.

I thought that same thing when I first listened to the song,
I was like.. "Are you serious? It sounds forced...o___o"
But then, after listening to it a few times, I could tell that I was looking for a different beat.
The lyrics do fit the melody and beat, I think..
Just, it's hard to get the beat at once, since it's a much different time signature~
